Skillers

Featured Replies

Ok, I don't really consider this a rant but if some mod does then please move it.

I don't really get the point of being a skiller, i like skilling but why not just make your main stronger and more well rounded? There also seems like theres a lot of limitations to being a skiller (teleports, thieving, quests, randoms, etc.) and I just don't see the point. I still think having a skiller would be cool because I like skilling more then combat but don't see why I would. If anyone is a skiller I would just like to know what might the benefits be, and anyone agree with me?

It's just the opposite. They do it for the challenge.

I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. If they were meant to fly, they won't break their necks on the concrete.
So, what is 1.111... equal to?

Because in f2p skilling stuff and combat stuff doesn't all fit into one bank. So it makes sense to have a skiller account, so you can have a nice, organized bank with all the gear you'll ever need at hand.

you have to remember that runescape is just a game. taken in context, whats the point of doing something on ur main? its all about having fun and skillers see that as having fun.

...i dont really think i said anything that implied i thought of runescape as any more then just a game, I was just stating that it seems more worth while to skill on your main but hey, thats just me

I like the challenge and the added bonus when you complete something.

Also, combat has never been appealing to me personally.

Say what you mean and mean what you say because those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter.

a lvl 3 with 99 thief is awesome. a lvl 126 with 99 thief seems pretty normal

When in reality it is the same thing.

I engineered this thread with precise variables that I know would cause lul-worthy flames.

In reality a two-tone lobster is just the same as any other one. They're just cooler to see.

It would be more logical to train all of your skills, than just some. You can do more quests, have better equipment, more places to train, faster ways to train.

It looks nice being #1 on the highscores rather than #50,000

For the challenge, and it's fun.

+1 Fun to try to get a goal with a lvl 3 that really hard, such as 99 craft or thiving.

For Thieving it is not even close. Plunder is very hard on a level 3 and so is Pickpocketing. I have 99 Thief with 78 Combat and I can't imagine it with level 3.

Let them play the game how they want to, you play the game how you want to, simple as.

Plastic+Poet.png

For personal preference i suppose.

Anyway, I'm annoyed why lvl 3s ALWAYS has to be compared to a lvl 126 in this context, so if you have 99 rc on a lvl 80-110 account seems pretty normal? A lvl 3 can't ever solo 99 rc unless its gonna take a really long time.

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

i believe they do it to be kinda unique.. like the other guy said, a lvl 3 with thieving cape is much more impressive than a lvl 126.. then again theres so many lvl 3 skillers now that it isnt that unique or special anymore

Its like that emo trend.. They do it to be different and to stick out from other ppl, but when theres so many who does the exact same, its not that different anymore lol

As the leader of a skiller clan I can say that the majority of skillers actually have high or mid level "main" accounts and decide to train a low level account for the fun of it. ::'

Additionally, combat is expensive and time-consuming; there are people who flat-out dislike training combat.

It's really not anyone's place to question the preferences of others. :)

By the way...I'm level 103 but consider myself a "skiller" since I focus on training everything. Skillers aren't necessarily level 3 ;)

it seems to be skillers are just there for attention... the "omg a level 3 with a santa and 1700 total!" factor...

i seriously think most skillers don't do it for a challenge, they just want people to think they're cool, and isn't that what pretty much everyone inside wants?
