It's exactly the same anywhere else... the issue is not with the community itself, but with the size of it. As tip.it's community grows the community will suffer.

 

 

 

I see people flaming the state of the official forums so much, but I personally spend a fair amount of time there, and promise you, that the tip.it community is near enough exactly the same! the only difference is that the official forums community is much much larger.

 

 

 

ratio wise there are probably a similar amount of "idiots" here as anywhere else, but in a smaller community the more active mature users can make a huge postertive impact on the way in which people post, but sadly as the community grows their effect is lessened.

 

 

 

 

 

It's just one of the things we have to put up with in a larger community.

I'm still kinda new to tipit, but some of the posts I've seen here are really disgusting. Take the spammer no naming names ~darkdude three posts. All the repliers did was spam random pics and insult the OP continuously. He probably deserved it because he was insulting them as well, but they were acting just as immature as he was...

That's quite true actually. I knew the site from last year and It was pretty interesting, especially the General Discussion section. It was my favourite section in here on the site before. But, unfortunately I kind of lost the interest to come to General discussion quite often and read so many threads (which mostly have the same idea of a certain concept), plus each thread consists of so many pages which would make the person to feel not to read every single post and would just leave the thread. Also, i noticed another matter as well, whenever I check a thread many people's posts seem like a newspaper which get boring to read. Furthermore, whenever someone posts an opinion or an idea others just come and say opinions which have exactly the same meanings of the previous opinions.

 

 

 

Moreover, it's really not enjoyable to have a thread which might have or cause this whole idea of *F2P against P2P*, or having threads that are even useless and just waste of time to post in it. That's why you see people would go for the less crowded threads than the popular threads. There're some threads in here which are less crowded but it's worth to post in it.

 

 

 

However, I still think the site is still alive and has some good threads which would make me to give my post/opnion in it :).

You say there's a decline in the community, eh...? Well tell me this, what the heck does this topic do to "save" the community? Isn't this the same kind of thing you dislike?

 

 

 

If you want intelligent discussions, provoke them.

 

If you want to hear less whiners, ignore them.

 

If you want the community to improve its "maturity", then take the first step.

 

 

 

Just making a post and saying that this place has declined doesn't do anything for anyone. People aren't magical enough to just "get the point" from someone's critical post.

The quality of posts, and the stupidity of the posters are quickly driving me away from these forums. People act so childish here, and there are way to many wanna-be mods. People of these forums post multiple threads about the same thing - How many different threads about summoning are there right now? How many am I interested in? 0. At this point every post I see right now is either based on the recent game - killing updates, or summoning. The forums are blan and boring. I'd rather watch paint dry than read the same garbled mess about summoning over and over.

Well im also fairly new to Tip.it, and have only been here for around a year, so I don't really notice much about the changing of the community, but i do agree some people need to lighten up and notice that this is just a game.
