idea for bounty hunter

why not add items (I.E. ancient relics) that you drop when you die, equivalent to the value of the items you dropped, which you can exchange that amount of money in the GE, for example, player x takes full rune to wildy and gets killed by player y, doesn't drop the rune armor, but drops a medium sized guthix relic, which is worth 150k, gets picked up by player y, who takes it to the GE and buys new full rune for the 150k.

it would be easy to track for Jagex so if someone uses much relics in a short time they will check if it's a real world trader.

just a suggestion :)

Sounds Bril!

But does player x keep his stuff? Does the money ccome off of him? Or is it generated?

Wouldn't this be problematic with driving up prices? Armour might become more and more expensive if the supply is being drained in such a way.

there you have a point, but seeing as rune/barrows armor is ridiculously cheap now anyway, and i don't see anyone taking dragon armor into the wilderniss, it wouldn't hurt

Yeah, I personally wouldn't mind if armor/weapon prices ROSE. In fact, I actually want them to rise...Smithing is making so much less money...

Anyways, the only problem is with RWTs using this. What you said would probably catch the majority of them, but there would be some that slip through. Perhaps make it so you can only get 1 relic from each player every 30 minutes-hour.

Otherwise, not a bad idea!

Great idea. A problem has all been with "total-risk" pvp fights is what to do with your kill. Often times you get like, 15 lobbys, and it takes up all the room. In the time you're searching for the whip that's in there somewhere, someone else could have dds'ed you to death.

I support it, and if this did happen prices may rise for rune armor, but there are enough smithers what would pick up for the demand in the long run it help the market I believe. And its not like these items cant be found.

Err I spotted a big-ish flaw in this. I'm sure a few of you have been pking in mage robes before. Lets say you got a kill. Now lalalalala you pick up you guthix thingy for full rune. Your sitting arounf waiting for your penalty to dissapear....and a ranger attacks you. Rangers rip mage armor to shreds. you've got 15 seconds left and no food. Maybe you should put on you full ru-....o wait! all you've got is the stupid replacement thing  BOOM dead bubyeeeee

Protect item. Keeps the relic over anything else, so in the long run you lost your mage robes and a weapon, but you still have your relic. :D

Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you. You want everything that's--falls off garbage can

Camera guy: Whoa, haha, are you okay dude?

Matt: You want anything funny that happens, don't you?

Camera guy: still laughing

Matt: You want the funny shit that happens here and there, you think it comes out of your [bleep]ing [wagon] pushes garbage can down, don't you? You think it's funny? It comes out of here! running towards Camera guy

Camera guy: runs away still laughing

Matt: You think the funny comes out of your mother[bleep]ing creativity? Comes out of Satan, mother[bleep]er! nn--ngh! pushes Camera guy down

Camera guy: Hoooholy [bleep]!

or you can't lose your relics :-k, that way the good pk'ers won't lose too much profits by pj'ers :D

I think you should be given an amount of stackable tickets/chips/whatever. These will be tradable at a "trading booth" for an equal amount of GP. They will not be lost when you get killed.

Glancing over it; it's an awesome idea, no joke. :)

But now as I think about it, it would have a major problem. It's a good idea, but it's extremely risky. Every day hundreds of armor sets, weapons, amulets, arrows, all that would be drained from the economy. I'm not sure how fast smithers, crafters, and slayers get all that armor that floods into the economy every day, but it could very well be outmatched by the armor being deleted in bh. Thus raising prices to possibly extremes, slayer monster spots being over-crowded, ect.

However, if the amount of armor coming in outmatches the amount being lost this update could be really healthy. Armor would raise to a decent price, where slayer monsters are worth killing as a great moneymaker (as jagex intended), and a few other things.

But, all I'm saying is it's just too risky.

By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .

Personally, I can make over 2k FULL dragonhide sets per day. So me alone probably outweighs the loss for d'hide sets by pk'ers.

but then it doesn't do what it's intended to do, it's meant to be quite safe against real world traders too, which was the reason jagex removed wilderness. it's the point that you get a relic (or maybe tickets/chips) which are worth an equivalent amount of money at the grand exchange.
