Goldenjkered
Hey, I was wondering, would anyone reccomend taking a super set on every slayer task, e.g 121 fire giants. Or would it be a waste? ultimatballr
I would say yea sure go for it but only on tasks that provide enough drops to pay for the set. I wouldn't recommend super sets though. I would say pure sets are better, those are just sup att and sup strs (a super set minus the super def lol) Things like fire giants, greater demons. Things like that that can pay back for the pots in drops. Apparently, my signature was to big.
brunokiller
Just take combat pots, they cost 200 gp each dose. My blog
mot235
lol i think every slayer task except for burthorphe ones pay for the cost of 2-3 doses of atk pot en 2-3 doses of str pot which is like 5k? and losing 5k isnt a big deal anyone and it boosts your xp per hour by 5-10k xp Visit my blog! http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=98&t=802155&p=6791946#p6791946

Our_Moon
~It doesn't hurt. They save you a lot of time, and you'll spend no more than 10k on Potions per Task. I personally only take Attack and Strength, but Defenses are good, too.~

You'd probably want to use dds spec right? So dba would be a waste. Although, take both. Spec attack recharges in 5 minutes to full. Dba gives about 15 levels, so you can use 8 dds specs before you need to dba again. And a regular restore pot works too. ~It's Super Effective! I don't know about you or him, but I prefer dds over dba or d long. But maybe that's only because I always bring along a super str. Honestly speaking, super set (with or without def) along with dds is more effective than dba, restore pots, super attacks, dds. ~It's Super Effective! rukano
if you are using food (as opposed to bones to peaches or guthans) and you find that you do not complete the entire task in one trip, then DEFINATELY use a superset, the super def pots are really quite cheap (around 800gp for 3 dose) and they make a huge difference. phata_elise
d b axe special, then 1 sip of normal restore pot and then 1 sip of super attack. max boosted attack and max boosted strenght with normal def. and it only uses cheap pots. the dds spec is not so important for training. I advise the d b axe spec + pots.
tryto
It depends on how valuable your time is. Super sets will speed up your training, but at a price. Compare your best money making method to how much time you save by using them, and see whether it makes sense or not. anonymouse_
Super set + SGS spec and you're set 8-)
Roberthree
You'd probably want to use dds spec right? So dba would be a waste. Er... what? Why bring a DDS? Thats speeding up one, maybe two kills. Using a DBA>Restore Pot>Super attack is saving 5k for every set and speeding up way more kills than a DDS. The only time I wouldn't recommend a DBA is if you have a SGS. EDIT- Another thing, on longer tasks a DBA is only 1 inventory spot compared to the 2 or more strength pots you will probably bring. meol
I'd recommend you to use a Super Set for the longest tasks as long as you can afford it, or use the poor man's alternative of Combat Potions. The attack boost is especially noticeable and helpful, and it speeds up training a lot. This signature is intentionally left blank.
BloodArgon
Depends. If you have a black mask, then dont worry about it. If not, I would super on tasks 50+ with monsters 70+, it saves alot of time. Im not sure about your levels, but, extra stats always help : 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
Knight_Zaros
I use a super attack and super strength all pretty much every slayer task. Considering I generally come away with 10k-100k with alchs along it pays off. Not to mention On my assignments I get a decent drop like mystic gloves, or whatever else. Also speeds of slaying alot. I only def pot obviously if im fighting monsters that I can't use guthans on.
