cheezekillz
Well from what I hear summoning is an extremely slow skill to level, Therefore I think there should be a thread where everyone can share the most efficient methods of levelling: froms lvl 4-20 (you get to level 4 from quest) lvls 4-16- Making Dreadfowl Pouches (Raw Chickens, can be bought in canafis) lvls 16-20 20-30 30-40 40-50 50-60 60-70 70-80 80-90 90-99 So far from levels 4-10 I have used raw chickens making dreadfowl pouches, then making the pouches into scrolls. Any other methods which are better will be much appreciated :P A quick little guide to summoning pouches: Glory, Air Staff Equipped. Laws, Earths, Desired Charms, Shards, Pouches, rest secondary ingredient in inventory. 1) Tele to Taverly (or run from falador) 2) exit house, run to the summoning obelisk. 3) Make all into pouches 5) Glory tele to bank, repeat (or fally tele to bank)

cheezekillz
do you get exp for turning the dread foul pouches into the scrolls? yes you do :P By the way the raw chickens can be mass bought in the store in canafis Edit: the exp is not very much because you only get 2 exp for 22 chickens. Rcty
It would appear that you can go from 4 to 16 using the 275 Gold charms Pickupstix gives you at the end of the quest. Make dreadfowl; buy the chickens in Canifis where Rufus has an infinite stock. Otherwise I'm killing Ogres for charms now. :wall: ~Rcty Rcty

Bodito
yes, as mentioned get to 16 by chickens. From there, the best (and maybe only) way up is by the Granite Crab. This is simply because those Charms above Gold are much harder to come by. (In the time that I got about 50 Gold Charms, i got a total of 8-10 other Charms combined.) Giants (as mentioned by Jagex) seem to have the best drop rate of Charms, so go to wherever you like. :D Quest Cape gotten.Fire Cape gotten at 92 cb, no guthans. jayc3399
First off, Using the snails is better you get more for the initial Charms, then use iron ores. Quick tip, turn your pouches into scrolls, you get a little bit of extra xp, and the general store resale is the same, just a bit more clicking.\ EDIT: Glory and Home tele is the fastest.... Dracomancer
If you want to get as much money back as possible, turn pouches into scrolls. It gives the same exp as summoning the creature, but you can hardly sell something following you, right? Current account: Dragonguy 87 Goals: Get members Get all skills 40+ Hehe, this is like Jagex telling half of Runescape players that they're [developmentally delayed]. Sort of. cat666
Running from piscatoris bank to the obelisk and back is the fastest way to infuse...stuff. This does require swan Song though... Still the fastest even if you have not done Swan Song. You can use the fairy ring code AKQ to get to and from Zanaris quite easily. It's about 1 screen north of the fairy ring, ladder symbol on map, just go down the trapdoor. Trust the Gene Genie!
Xrainfaeryx
The method that I'm using now is working pretty well. This is for lvl 19+ but can work for anyone doing Summoning, as the dungeon is home to many different types of monsters. Make sure to get all of your secondary items, spirit shards, and pouches into the bank before travelling to Brimhaven. Take with you about 1k, a hatchet, and food. Then pay the 875 gp to get into the huge dungeon. (If you think you're losing money, believe me, you're not. You'll eventually make the 875 for each trip back plus some more.) Go fight Greater Demons. They drop crimson charms quite often, and gold charms once in a while. Also, don't avoid the wild dogs. They can drop green charms and have given me quite a few. When you're ready to leave, DON'T TELEPORT OUT! Find your way out, then make your way to the cart service that takes you to Shilo Village. Once in Shilo, grab all the things you need for Summoning, including 20 gp. Use the cart service to get back to Brimhaven, and then walk west to the obelisk. Once done making your pouches, use the cart service to bank at Shilo, and again to get back to the Brimhaven dungeon. Repeat process, etc. etc. You get the idea. teatonev
I'm about to try spiders from level 10 up. More exp/shard than chickens and a chance to recoup some costs through red spider eggs. I am collecting the carcasses at Hazelmere's peninsula and banking via fairy ring there. I am going to also try duelling rings and balloon to Taverley. Will post time per run. Could someone time Piscatoris obelisk via colony bank or fairy ring times. I'm guessing Lleyta to Undergound Pass obelisk and back by tiny elf crystal will be slow. BTW for you lvl 82 summoners I've calculated Spirit Dagganoth to be the cheapest/ most efficient for power levelling!
lordkafei
If you study the Knowledge Base Pouch article, it seems that the pouches that use the fewest shards all require gold charms. This is my strategy to raise summoning on the cheap - gold charm pouches all the way. If I can just find something that drops multiple gold charms reliably... #-o PvP is not for meIn the 3rd Year of the BoycottReal-world money saved since FT/W: Hundreds of DollarsReal-world time saved since FT/W: Thousands of Hours
Carcher
At 52 I believe Spirtial Terrobirds is cheap and fast. They only cost 12 shards, 1 gold charm and 1 raw bird meat (from hunter) for 68.2 exp. I have found that if you catch crimson swifts at the Woodland Hunting place you can get the ingredients easily and its very close to a oblisks and bank (need to do Swan Song). Also the Terrobird has a good ability that gives running % and I think raises your agility level by 2. So you will be running almost all the time.
