And where the hell do you get eggxecute in crystal? I read that you have to headbutt trees in some forest near the slowpoke cave but I tried it for ages and never got anything.

I did it south of Eruteak.

Oh. Well sleep powder is too inaccurate for my liking, but it's a viable option.

But each base power point translates into roughly 3 actual attack points, so while it may seem like "only" at 30 point difference between attack and special attack, it's actually more like 90 points apart (this of course, is assuming level 100, fully trained and equal EVs).

You might consider making it a SunnyBeamer. Give it Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Hidden Power Fire, and Gigadrain/Explosion.

I believe there is a TM for Swords Dance that can be used on Exeggutor, so in DP you can use a physical based Exeggutor, but it's a lot more hassle since you will need to swords dance and Exeggutor has pretty bad typing. Exeggutor has a log of weaknesses and coupled with bad speed, it makes it pretty easy to shoot down with it's less-than-perfect defenses (in DP, you can fix its bad speed by using sunny day, making its speed 110 base).

I did not like what they did to Hypnosis, but whatever way too many Pokemon can learn it anyway so I guess fair is fair.

Exeggutor does have slightly more than average attack, but his Sp.Atk is beast, so physical is somewhat.. crap in comparison. Not to mention Psychic (great move + stab) is special.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Exeggutor sucks anyway... You can beat crystal with a sentret the games are actually that easy...

If you aren't talking about crystal... And you are on about competitive battling. Exegutor dies to HP fire at a 30 base... non stab. Min special attack (weak pokemom)

Not to mention a colossal 4x weakness to Bug. Exeggutor has way too many weaknesses. You have ice, bug, fire, dark, poison, flying and ghost. 5 of those are common in normal gameplay, and you only get base 125 special attack. There are a lot of Pokemon that can offer better. Azelf can do that, has almost the same defenses, has a LOT higher speed, has normal attack at 125, and has far fewer weaknesses (only 3, compared to Exeggutor's 7).

Thats why Exeggutor sleeps them. He needs to be faster, if hes not, he fails. If he is (BP Agility?) then he might pick up a nice sleep and stab psychics or solarbeams if hes a sunnybeamer, or whatever.

Note that sunny day makes his speed base MUCH better

May I point out, that what ifs? Don't necessarily occur, if you respond to the what ifs. You lose the point of having the pokemon with its moveset in the original instance. Being a part of 3 pokemon communities, what ifs happen almost every 30 seconds.

If they do have a tactic? So bloody what, overall you have a pokemon designed to cover x ammount of stuff, and another pokemon to counter y ammount of counters. Thats all there is to the game. Don't what if sunny day, what if hail, what if it had splash omg. what if i had this

what if swept by ponyta.

Enough of what-if-ing.

Those IVs aren't very good though.

Its got pretty good IVs on attack, defense and speed.

Pity it has crappy base attack and defense.

Looks like the gold/silver remakes will have a lot of legendaries:[hide=]- Lugia and [garden tool]-oh for both games, one at 70, the other at 45, depending on the game. They're both obtained the same way they were in gold/silver.

- Suicune at level 50 and Entei and Raikou at level 40. Suicune is stationary, the other two run around in Johto.

- Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, at the same locations as Fire Red/Leaf Green.

- Mewtwo at level 70, in the Cerulean cave.

- Kyogre or Groudon at level 50, depending on which game you chose, in a new cave.

- Rayquaza at level 50 in the same cave, but you need to have a Kyogre and a Groudon captured in gold/silver.

- Dialga, Palkia and Giratina, level 1 (you read that right), if you have the Arceus from a movie event. You have to pick one.

- Latios and Latias at level 50, running around Kanto.

I guess the only significant missing ones are Celebi and Jirachi.[/hide]It's a whole load of legendaries, but I guess Nintendo is trying to make the GBA games less important due to the fact that the DSi has no GBA slot, and thus no Palpark option. Still, if this game's random number generator gets cracked as quickly as the diamond/pearl/platinum one, we'll be seeing some epic legendaries.

Here's a list of the Legendaries.

http://www.serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/legends.shtml

Necro, Moltres won't be located in the same place since the Sevii Islands won't be returning.

Looks like we'll be able to get every starter except the DPPt in the game.

Red is in the Silver Cave again, with new pokemon.

The Pal Park is in Kanto where the original Safari Zone was.

Snorlax is outside Diglett's Cave.

Anyone up for a battle through Shoddy?

Also, there's apparently a move tutor that will take in-game money to teach your Pokémon several moves. The most significant of these are various priority moves (Ice Shard, Aqua Jet, Bullet Punch, Shadow Sneak, etc.) and Encore. Looks like we'll finally be able to legally use Aqua Jet and Belly Drum on Azumarill :ohnoes:

I just got an Abra with 28-31 IVs in Sp.Atk and Sp.Def

I think it has 27-31 in attack, as well though.

Not bad for something I caught while trying to get a shiny.

Edit: It has 28-31 on defense, 1 on attack and HP, and 15-19 on speed.

Thats pretty good.

It's really not that good; as the only decent thing about your Abra is it's Sp. Atk. You need speed, basically. Also, is the nature beneficial? That makes an even bigger difference than speed.
