Except for Marth, because for some reason, we've all mained Marth at one point or another. :? When Brawl first came out, I knew that Dedede was going to be new character, but all my friends were like "NOoooooo he sucks he's soooo slow." Heh. One of the best characters now, no? Then Metaknight. I think it was before all these glitches were found, but he was still pretty good. My friends claimed it was impossible to kill with him. Okay then. But we bash Ike all the time. October 14, 200817 yr Haha why did you tell Crazy!? :o I've only practiced with him today, I'm not nearly good enough with him yet. After the tournament I decided that I was just totally 100% done with Snakes. So I thought, "who is good against snake." I also started to get bored of ROB. That seems to happen with every character I get good with. I become bored of them or they're potential just won't get any better for me. I also have finally noticed that I am horrible at approaching, so I thought to my self, "hmm whos really good at approaching", I bet you can guess who came up. Then I thought, "who has a really high potential?" Meta came up again. Even if I get bored of Meta, which I probably will, I think trying to master him will help me become a better player in general. It should be a while before I get good enough with him. I'm definitely not better then Kent's Mk but I did beat Crazy's... Edit: From the article Why Metaknight? This is why Let me make a scenario for you to illustrate the biggest problem with MK so far. Lets say I use Mario in tournaments. Mario has a nearly unwinnable matchup against MK (or so I hear), so I need to use a secondary to take care of MK. But who do I pick up? Snake? No, MKs have learned how to beat all but the best Snakes out there. G&W? No, he still doesn't do great against MK. DDD, Falco, ROB? Nope, one of their worst matchups is MK right now. So I have to pick the one and only character that can handle MK: MK himself. Then I begin playing with MK so I can be good enough with him to make him my second... and I start to notice that I'm winning matches much more easily. I realize that no counterpick, be it a stage or a character, is bad for me because I can just switch to MK. I begin to rely on MK more and more whenever I feel pressured, so I start to pick him in the first game too, just to be safe. And that's when I discover that my MK, a character I only recently picked up, is better than my Mario in every possible situation. Soon I just stop playing Mario altogether because it is so much simpler and more effective to just play MK. This is pretty much exactly what was going through my head! :lol:
October 14, 200817 yr Why Metaknight? This is why This... is... WIFI! MK isn't close to as broken. Pikachu's a whole [cabbage] load better. Snake can't set up and control the field. October 14, 200817 yr Hmm after reading that entire article I understand. I don't really care if MK is banned. Personally I think he should be. By then I'll probably be on to another character anyways.

October 14, 200817 yr I think MK will be banned eventually. I think the only reason Fox/Falco weren't in SSBM was because they both had characters which bettered them on paper in a match-up and also the difference between those two and the High Tier (i.e., Marth) wasn't that big. MK's much better than 3D, Snake, Falco and G&W though, and he's got no negative match-ups, no matter how many MK mains try and convince us there's a 45-55 one somewhere. :lol: | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
