Wow, why is it that whenever I can play a lot you guys can't and when you guys can play a lot I cant?

I myself prefer to use the wiimote by itself....but with the nunchuck is fun too.... I just don't like using a normal controller anymore

At higher level play, it's a requirement to use a GC controller. The button layout, the design, ect makes it, in my opinion, the best controller ever.

Too laggy to try. ;)

And about the Gamecube argument, the one with a Wii controller is destined to lose.

We give the GC controllers to the people that suck the most. You'd be surprised how many times the guy with Wiimote + Nunchuk wins.

That's because the person with the GC controller sucks.

I use the Wiimote + Nunchuck, and the only reason me and all my friends do is because my T.V. is to far away from the couch for the GC to reach #-o , and I don't want to buy a whole bunch of Wavebirds. One of the only things I know of that I can't do is Snake's mortar slidey thingy... but that's about it

You know, I've actually been able to get snake's slidy mortar thing on the wii-mote + nonchuck.... It's happened a few times, just not consistently... I'll see if I can master it..

Yeah I managed to pull off that move, too, but for some reason I can only do it when I hit someone with the dash attack to start it. And Kent can do it at will whenever he wants. :-s

In theory, any tether grab is enough to stop Snake's sliding approach. Timing is, however, immensely difficult, especially for those who have bad reach (*cough* TL) but given the approach has a ridiculous success rate anyway, it's as good as any other method out there.

There are much better punishers than a tether. And yeah, I can do it whenever I want... it's become natural for me. It really isn't hard to do. If you can only do it with a dash attack first, you're not doing it fast enough.

I can do it with a Wii mote pretty well I think, but GC is just too good.

Well, I just killed a level 9 samus 3 times without dying. And I was falco.

Is this good? To be honest I was only going for 2 kills but somehow got a 3rd one.

Next i'm going for 5 kills :-#

EDIT: Rofl, this thread has twice as many posts as the marketplace forum

Level 9's aren't that good. In fact, level 1-3 CPU's are much better to train with. But the best way to learn is to play real people offline or online.

Hey I've gotten used to Snakesliding, but only one problem.

I can only do it inclined towards the right....

Hm. I didn't see you do any snakeslides O.o.

And during that Lucario/Snake game, the rubber thing on my control stick fell off.. The edges are kind of sharp .

Wavedashing forward is easy, but wavedashing/waveshining backwards is generally harder. You'll get used to it.

And for coms, you have to adjust your whole play style to beat them with good success. They're geniouses and [developmentally delayed]ed at the same time. If I pick falco, I can pretty much laser camp + grab /whatever ... techs that don't work on people can get you 3 kills on coms without getting damaged.

The reason why level 1-3 coms are great is because they have unpredictable DI, while lv 9's have bad + predictable DI. In brawl, it doesn't really matter as much as in Melee, because there is no combos. I would find somebody good to play... it's the best way to get better.

Gallade, we'll do some Snake vs Snake dittos later.
