Try going a bit shorter, especially at the sides and fringe. Then maybe try pushing it up/spiking a bit down the middle, not like a mowhawk, but like a hill... Sorry not a good description...

I'm melting some butter there :P The picture is from our inauguration day. We had to bake a pie for older students/lecturers.

I study chemistry actually so it's not a far cry from your field.

It's not usually in my eyes, that was just to show how long it was. And I'm not sure the sideways mohawk is the look for me :lol:

It's down to my shoulders in the back, so I'd say it is. And the hair styles are different, mine is kind of straight down all around while you part yours to the side (or at least I think you do.

 

And Jaerk, if I go for a buzz cut I'll see if I can't keep it as a sideways mohawk for a day.
