Why, oh why is this so idiotic, how TIF makes a clan chat named Hyt, (Hey You Tip.It'er) advertises it on the forums here, and still say its not official?

The caln chat is not official because the tip.it crew and admin have no control over it and therefore cannot take responsiblity for what happens in there.

 

 

 

If they make a clan chat they do not control the official tip.it one then they will get many people messaging them about bad language and such in the clan chat holding them responsible.

 

 

 

Equally they do not only advertise that clan chat it is jsut one of the many in the clan chat directory, it is reffered to by members and staff alike as the unofficial tip.it clan chat as it was made by tiffers and used primarily by tiffers. Therefore it is a tif clan chat, it is however unofficial as the crew have no control of it.

They only reason it would get banned is if the clan chat channel was advertising the website, which it wouldn't be unless it was called "Tip.it" or similar

Considering Lightning was like the 2nd person (outside of Andrews friends and family) to ever play Runescape i'm pretty sure she's not gonna get banned for having "HYT" in her CC title.

I really don't understand the point of this thread. Your complaining because a CC channel is not official yet tip.it advertises it. May I ask what the entire point is. Tif don't have any control of the CC so they aren't official, whereas they do have control over their IRC channel, so that is official. Simple really.

i've spoken with many of jagex mods and asked them if 'hyt' means and most of them dont, so no, i dont think shed get banned for it.

 

 

 

 

 

Besides, lightning was a volunteer to make the clan channel, no one forced her, no one asked her, she just wanted to do it.

Yes, I agree with everything said here. To add to the banned thing, you can't get banned for having Hyt in your clan chat name. In fact, there's photographic proof of Andrew entering Blogscape/Blogschat saying "hyt".

Hyt is just a greeting organised amongst ourselves, it isn't advertising because it would make no sense to someone who isn't already aware of it's meaning in the first place.

 

 

 

Lightning chat is Unofficial, there's no lies about it. It is what it is.

I can't remember one instance where we've advertised the clan chat as official. We've always stated that it's not official and there's NOTHING we can do about it - we can't get you unbanned on there, we can't can anyone on there as it's nothing to do with the running of Tip.It.

 

 

 

Lightning made the channel herself (If this is indeed the channel you are talking about) and there are a few other channel that Tip.It users use - however these are not official, we may recommend them however if you want to talk to fellow Tip.It forum users.

 

 

 

Please, get your facts straight before you make such stupid topics in the future.
