In-game boyfriends/girlfriends

Report them both.

And:

People who are asking for a gf: Hey, if they want to date a 45 year old man on a game, I'm not going to stop them... On the off chance that they find a real girl willing to date them on a game, well, then they'll both probably be equally messed up..

People asking for a bf: It isn't like anyone can give them phr33 s700fs anymore.

There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.

I hate when people ask me "wanna go out?". How desperite do you have to be!? At least calling those 1-800 hook up things is better than this! Most of these people who look for dates are level 3. Someone said it is like level 3-50.

Rule 1

3. Is it okay to ask for a boyfriend or girlfriend in the games?

No, that is solicitation and is not allowed at all. This is to ensure the safety of all our players.

So as mentioned before; just report them and get that nice warm feeling of knowing how you just made the game little safer.

Bf and gf = pedophiles/lolicons. That or people who like to make a fool of other people. I can see why people like playing as the opposite sex. For girls, less 8 year old or [cabbage]less boys harassing you in f2p. I also found out that before the graphics update, my character as a guy looked really nice  . Then Jagex had to ruin the male hairstyle. Now it looks like icing is plastered on the top...at least girls have icing highlights and streaks through their hair  . And yes it's pretty ironic (not really) that most gf/bf people are gone with the unbalanced trade removal. I also knew a irl guy "friend" who played as a girl when he was lvl 40 for free stuff and a clan mate who got ingame marriage. I would have been the priestess if he had wanted a Guthixian (sara/zammy noob :XD: ). Oh well. My take on it is, it's role playing, so you can be whatever you want to be, just don't mess with other people's emotions  .

Dude, you guys are just jealous. I have a girlfriend and we love eachother very much. <3:

This is annoying in both online communities and RL! For the love of.......I don't care about your girlfriend and whether it's "serious" or not! It doesn't make me emotionally [developmentally delayed]ed (as I have been told once)...Sheesh

Yeah, it's against the social norms. Yeah, it's kinda creepy. Yeah, there really is no point to it. But does that make it "wrong"? In fact, what constitutes as "wrong" in the first place? Well, when your actions have a negative effect on others around you, then I think it can be considered wrong. But honestly, dating couples have no impact on the way I play RS so I could care less. It might be annoying but that's how it is in real life too. ;)

You could always agree to be their bf/gf and try rob them of as much as possible... then ditch em \'

Do you have no morals? :shame:

Oh, right I never knew it was reportable, It is very annoying though :P.

One: Don't use all bold letters...

Two: Why do you think it's there in the first place?

I actually find this idea rather idiotic. Even if they know it's against the rules, they will still try.

Whatever keeps them happy, I guess...

STFU

I'll use bold letters if I want too.. -.-

no actually u cant and for the "I want too" its spelled to not too :wall:

Personally, I've never seen it in-game. However, there is one thing that annoys me. Public displays of affection, they aren't generally appreciated in real life, and it gets really agitating in-game as well. I've noticed it generally at the fishing guild. A couple would be following each other, usually for 10+ minutes. Then, one of them has to go somewhere, so there has to be a 3-minute exchange of blow kiss emotes. Unfortunately, little talk is involved in these, so the ignore list isn't really an option. Even if it is a real-life couple, it seems a little... over the top.

Something a little off-topic: My wife is the one that got me to play runescape

That annoys me too Shadow. I do emotes occasionally. I find any emote annoying after a while though. Not just what you mentioned. I don't know why, but when people just sit there and do emotes over and over it is annoying.

But I have come to this conclusion. There seems to be a lot of people on RuneScape who strive to be annoying. I think some people get more enjoyment out of annoying other players than actually playing the game.

My in-game girlfriend is also my irl girlfriend ^_^

Sometimes people lol or insult us for being bf/gf in-game but only because they don't realise we are together in real life and most of the time are even sat on the sofa together.

It's been a very long time since someone asked to be my partner and that was because they thought i was a girl (wearing pink dwarf clothing at the time) lol
