Everywhere I go in runescape (Falador, Varrok, mainly Lumbridge) there's always at least one person there asking for a boyfriend or girlfriend. As many times as you tell the person that it's against the rules to ask for one, they either keep on asking or follow you around trying their best to deny that it's against the rules. I used to try to be polite to those asking me to be their gf, telling them at first, "no thank you," and when they persisted (as they almost always did), telling them I had a real boyfriend who would not appreciate it or trying to explain that I simply had no interest in an in-game bf and I thought it was a silly idea. I actually think it is a stupid idea, but would say "silly" because it seemed less harsh. After a few years of this, I no longer even try to be polite. I just either say "nty" (I don't even bother to type it out) or ignore the person entirely. I get about the same results as when I tried to be more polite, but with far less effort and annoyance on my part. Two: Why do you think it's there in the first place? I actually find this idea rather idiotic. Even if they know it's against the rules, they will still try. Whatever keeps them happy, I guess... This includes all bold. 2) Who genuinely gives a damn if someone else wants to get an e-boyfriend or an e-girlfriend? It's not like they'll listen to your advice if you tell them it's wrong, nor could you really stop them from getting "involved". At least it's reportable...
