If its anything like rock bands £180 price tag i'm not buying like I refuse rock band.

Well, I can be sure that I'll get achievements in a game that you wont get... But its too bad I'm not getting Rockband either

Pick slides would be cool but I don't think that is what it's going to be used for.

It looks to me like a rip-off of the solo buttons on the rock band guitar...

Other than that I really don't know what other use they could be for.

Yeah, it's a solo button rip off, but you can also do bends supposedly.

I'm curious as to how Rock Band will counter this. How much do you want to be that Rock band 2 will be announced at E3?

I'm pretty damn sure you can do slides on those new buttons, as well as them being touch sensetive solo buttons. I think I read that on kotaku a while back, which is a reliable source usually.

Touch sensitive solo buttons = Shred fest \'

Being able to bend notes = Even better

Looks like they really are going WAY OUT to beat Rock Band.

If this goes down the Rock Band premise of being a platform im sold because GH3 functionally was a better game, they perfected the guitar controls although reiterating the same game with new songs on a disc is unecessary. If they do it in that model they will probably end up killing Rock Band despite MTV's influence because guitar hero has credibility amongst teh masses.

Im joshing the only reason why i like this is silicon drumpads! Now thats how you do fake drums.

I don't know if this has been posted yet but here's the set list. It's not official yet so don't count on all of these songs to be in the final game.

There's also word of a GH Country in the works.

A John Frusciante guitar battle AFTER a Dimbag battle? Doubt it.

Also, Hammet after Petrucci? Never in a million years

And lol at Michael Angelo in the 3rd tier.

It's obviously a fake and plus the game isn't only about the guitar anymore.

edit: yeah rethinking it, it's prob fake. Plus I very much doubt they'd choose those DT songs.

Lol well my reasoning is that the article was written in January 2008 by some random person on some random site.

Yeah.

Seriously though, they prob chose like the worst 2 DT songs to "fake" for that. Forsaken has pretty much no good solos in it.

Here is to hoping for "Finally Free" by Dream theater on GH:WT

I lol'ed while looking at the "supposed" GH4 setlist posted above when I saw "I Believe In A Thing Called Love"

I would seriously have a hell of a time trying to sing that, LOL! I think my head would explode.

Other than that, I wouldn't mind that being the final, although I agree with everyone else that it's probably fake. :(

And yet another kick to the PS3; it will be available on the PS2. When are they going to learn?

Looks like they have learned.

Not everyone can afford a Ps3, and many Ps3 owners actually keep their Ps2s.

Though its mainly because of the damn 40 gig model without backwards compatability. Though I'd keep mine anyway, it has a screen attachment that I got for it, great for alot of stuff.

Guitar

*barf*

And how are you supposed to sing. Does it work just like Karaoke Revolution, or do you hit the notes with your voice and the song sings itself?

Rock band just had you hit notes, so they may do that. That way, you don't have to know the song to sing it.

Am I the only one who still uses the old red controller? I think it's kinda geeky how they keep trying to make the guitars look realistic... like they think most people only play guitar hero because they really do want to be rock stars but gave up on real guitar -.-

Can't hear myself strum to maintain rhythm w/ a Rock Band controller and the wireless controller that came w/ GH3 is delayed when strumming :wall:

So, you just go "aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaa" when singing?

Also muggiwhplar, I use the old red and black guitar because we haven't gotten a new one yet.
