Looking at your stats though, it would take... 20 minutes to level up a skill?

 

 

 

For those of who would take much longer, we just can't be bothered. It's alright making lots of content to draw in new, fresh players, but you need to give them something to do after the novelty has worn out. A lack of new opportunities in the higher levels really makes this game boring. :?

seeing as the only stats I like are those above level 65...then longer than 20 minutes #-o

 

And i don't see point of grinding out farming levels/rcing etc. because they are incredibly boring.. -.-

 

so save your high level snobbery and comparing for people that care thank you =D>

There's not a lot for me left to achieve without spending hours in front a screen, bored witless grinding up levels. I'd rather watch golf, if the truth be told.

I was merely commenting on how your 'opinion' could be perceived as snobbish, because some of us haven't played as long getting all skills to a high level, for various reasons

 

Also quests bore me seeing as I'm on my 4th main in 7 years....

 

and spending hours in front of a screen watching golf is way more dull than 50% of rs skills ;)

Set some goals, and do them, switching when you get bored. When I get bored, I go to Clan Wars or go kill some monster. Boredom is bad, so switch it up once in a while.

I've "hit the wall" too.

 

All i ever do is merchant through the G.E now. Log on every fortnight or so; buy and sell what i need and log out. I'm just waiting until something exciting comes out.

 

 

 

The graphics update seems great. But I will probably lose interests after that "Ooo" "wow" "Haha what the hell!" factors.

Why even bother to discuss this? Runescape isn't the only MMORPG to have this, or game for that matter, once you do everyone or have done everything that interests you, you tend to leave or only go on to speak to friends, happens in every MMORPG :wall: the only reason the numbers are a bit lower are because of all the autoers leaving, there's still the same amount of people who are actually playing the game online.

I'd say the peak of my "Runescape Career" was around June-December 2007 when I usually play for at least 5 hours a day, I've been playing less and less ever since. I cant say I've accomplished tons of stuff but I can say that I've accomplished quite a number of them. Things just get boring after awhile, and when I log on, basically nothing interests me and I usually play for 5-10mins every once a week.

 

 

 

Im hoping that the new Graphics update will help prolong my "Runescape Career", who knows, I may even call it quits and retire.

 

 

 

I know Im not that important to be cared should I retire, but its a pretty big deal to me considering that Runescape has been "The" game for me for the past 4 years, maybe its time I move on to a new game once and for all.

 

 

 

Sorry, I got really emotional when typing this....I need a life.

I don't get bored fast... But I need to admit the only thing I do now on this account is bounty hunter and farming, and sometimes magic. This is when I can get online, because my dad doesn't allow me to play untill he has seen my grades. So he'll probably will allow me to play again today, because I got my grades yesterday and they were good.

Having just come back from a complete break of one year I feel a renewed interest in playing, but, like anything, this is bound to fade overtime and another break will be necessary. Having said that, I have come back to discover that my friends list is almost entirely devoid of any activity with the exception of one person and I imagine that many people just get tired of playing something for one, two, three, or four years and as we get older our tastes change or something new comes along. That's just the way things are.

I've been getting bored lately, and ive seen that on my friends list.

As already mentioned, things do get old after awhile. This has been an on-going cycle with this game and every other game I have played over the years. People come and go just like in real life. Just because something seems to be getting dull and boring doesn't mean that its Jagex's fault. Just means you need to take a breather and try something else for awhile.
