June 2, 200521 yr im hearing entry is free :? don't get that bit if there trying to raise money just 50 bucks or something each as there are heaps of bands playing and they could make soooo much for africa dont get why they dont charge a small fee and make heaps for the needy!!! Its mainly about awareness but they will still raise millions. It costs ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã1.50 per lottery text entry and you can text in however many times you want. At least ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã1.6 million raised from the text competition will go to The Prince's Trust Source: Official Live8 Site They dont need to charge $50 (̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã20) because the bands and celebrities will be doing it for free. The only costs will be staging the actual event which will easily be covered by the millions of people expected to text in to get a ticket. However, despite what ppl are saying this is not a charity event. The concerts will be FREE but they are not fundraisers and will be a rallying point for the largest political constituency ever mobilised to call for justice for Africa and the world's poor. They will focus the whole world's attention on the critical decisions to be made by the G8 four days later, decision that will change the world.
