This time, will I sell my soul for riches? Questa vita non è l'un voglio My character started the same as everyone elses. I raised levels and I met other people. But then it just took a turn for the worst. This character is not how I wanted it to be. Its just not satisfying when you know the billions in your bank aren't legit. Once my character got into the higher levels, I started to stake. I was pretty damn good. I switched rules, decieved people, and had 100% no honor. Everyone knew what they were getting into when they decided to stake me. Thought of me as an easy win. Over the 14 months that I staked in RuneScape, I lost maybe a handful of times. Thats saying something. Now this thread isn't my life story, but its to get people talking about second chances. Are they allowed? Am I allowed to start over? Is joe over there allowed to start over? Can we change? In my honest opinion, I do not think so. I think it is worth a try, and that is what I want to do. I have set a new goal for myself. This account I use is dead to me, along with the Party Hat sets, Cracker, gold supply, and materials. It's going to be hard to do, but it will be the only way I can set the bar for myself higher. What hurts the most is all the levels I gained... 99 Prayer, 98 Magic, it goes on and on. Now I ask Tip.It forums. Are people allowed a second chance? I'm not aiming abuse at you, but it was, in my opinion, people like you who caused so many to quit, and made the game quite miserable for lots of people, but now it may change. I think there is always a second chance. Runescape's been through a major change, and maybe now it's players will too. As if somebody like you is ever going to be killing cows, Rcing or killing monsters for money, doubt you'd last much long. Stop asking yourself philosophical questions and just quit the game. A lot of people would be really happy being in your position. I'd buy myself the herblore skill cape I always wanted then I'd do minigames all the time without feeling any pressure to level up. It would be the equivalent of a rs retirement XD. But alas, I got hacked and I'm poor, so I have to do it all over again and so far it's not working -__- And here you are complaining about having too much dirty money. To me, it sounds like you're worried you can't change. I don't think you need a new character to prove that. If you feel like you're logging on an illegitimate account every time you sign on, go ahead, start a new one. But it sounds like you're looking for answers where there aren't any. If you want to feel like you make things right, try spending time helping people out in whatever way you can. That takes guts, bravery and determination, for that, I salute you. ;) But a previous history of deciet and bad play? Could you live with yourself trying to correct a wrong? The new rs is different, in a way, it is a second chance to those that doubted and belittled themselves previously. The temptation and taunt was removed, (perhaps for the better in some cases!), so yes, it is pratical for you to relive your experience as an honest player. Now, in general, a second chance for anyone is of course, (and should always be!) welcomed. It's always nice to see someone trying to prove themselves to to others, and ultimatley themself. I wish you luck if you're returning, though if you don't see the light and the reason to learn from your mistakes, and I quote: if you don't learn from your past, you're going to be doomed to repeat it. I would say the best bet is to make a new account - don't worry about levels and money and just play for fun and glory. You've already won the game of being rich and skillful. Regardless of how degenerate they were, two wrongs don't make a right. I wouldn't make the assumption that there is anything wrong with a staker though. I know youre not serious.. and whats with the sarcasm on your wealth..? it would be a total waste of time to start a new account. and as someone said before me with the new runescape all the temptations and possibilities are gone so its even changed me. but if it wasn't for the new runescape things would be the same. its a new way to play. keep playing your account (if you're going to make a new one) and since no one can decieve no one anymore the whole communities becoming friendlier.
