Well the idea of a pure is to get a fast kill before you take any damage, as they generally have lower defense than your average "Scaper". A balanced account would try to stay alive, and still put up a fight...sometimes. The most common pure that seems the most effective is the range/str pure, because magic is generally overpowered (although ancients would work with range). I really don't like the idea of it, since I tried it plenty before, and I've always found it more useful to have defense and have gotten tons of more kills on my main account.

 

BUT.....to get back onto topic, range/str looks the best way to go. Range with a quick 2h/ddspec ftw.

range/str pures will kill fast but get hit often there primary gole is to find someone hit them up with dds and then range them if the run. but if they get bad specs they will be done for.

Why do you even have to make a pure? What is the point in it? Would it not be easier to make an account with statistics the are the same through out, then have a weakness in one area?

it doesnt work in the lower crater bh. ur max hit will be too low.

 

 

 

i believe it is all preference. i hate ranging so i just did str/magic.

Whats wrong with a pure?

 

 

 

He obviously just wants to make an account for pking, so why would he want to worry about anything else?

 

 

 

OT: I'd go with range/str. Get range up as high as possible, then 40 attack and str as high as possible without affecting combat level. Then use range and ko with rune 2h. Then, later on if you want to get def you can easily turn it into a rune pure or a tank ranger.
