July 11, 200917 yr A thing to add to your guide: If you have no placeholder for resources like fishes, runes, logs, rune essence etc... 1) Buy in G.E or put in G.E at max price (Cancel offer if u put in G.E) 2) use G.E Collect box to "Collect as items" 3) You have now successfully used the G.E Box as a banking method!
July 11, 200917 yr Author I'm feeling pretty sure that blue wizard robes are better bonuses than black. Your guide says they are equal. Wizard Robes = Black Robes Post a screen of you wearing both proving me otherwise. Excellent guide! I wish id had this a while ago instead of having to teach myself all of these things. Few things i disagree with, not only that rune longs are better than scimmis =p 1. I really dont think you need 3 types of arrows in your bank. When i train range i use bronze or iron seeing as its the chepest, although you can still make your money back on more expensive arrows. Therefore in my bank i only have bronze and addy arrows, and the bronze arrows arent entirely nessessary either, so i would say you should only store a maximum of two different types of arrow, bronze/iron/steel and addy. Also I would disagree with the use of an amulet of magic. This is not nessessary unless your purely attacking with magic, which you will most probably being rarely doing, and due to its cheapness i believe you should only buy it from the ge when you need it, and then sell it when your done. I'll post a picture of my bank later so you can use it as comparison! Also im very impressed with your storage of random armour and how you brought yourself to drop a load of it! Once again a great guide!  1. I have steels for cheap training, addys for PvP (Which honestly, I don't do actually  ). Mithrils are actually just drops. In the end, I still have 8 spots left. So let's say I get rid of the mithrils. Now I have 9 :P I'm agree with you as well to a certain point. While +4 anything except for prayer bonus can usually be considered as negligible *cough* Zerker vs Warrior Ring *cough*, F2P bonuses are already so low that every addition helps especially when it comes to magic. However, you do make a good point about utilizing GEBanking. A thing to add to your guide: If you have no placeholder for resources like fishes, runes, logs, rune essence etc... 1) Buy in G.E or put in G.E at max price (Cancel offer if u put in G.E) 2) use G.E Collect box to "Collect as items" 3) You have now successfully used the G.E Box as a banking method! Hmm...this is a bit of a variant and more expanded version of wormy's post. I'll be sure to add it in for the next edition, if I ever get to it  Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

August 6, 200916 yr For melee weaponry: you should include a rune warhammer. It does the most damage against full rune, therefore it is the best F2P pking weapon.
September 9, 200916 yr For melee weaponry: you should include a rune warhammer. It does the most damage against full rune, therefore it is the best F2P pking weapon. Actually they aren't, they only do the damage of a longsword and has the speed of a battleaxe. September 11, 200916 yr I bumped this thread, because I decided to say some things about your guide. 1) It's actually better to keep the Fly Fishing Rod in your bank. If you power-flyfish at Barbarian Village or Lumbridge River, there isn't a shop nearby that sells a Fly Fishing Rod. Also, because of the shop update, try not to use the shops to buy fishing equipment, keep the lobster pot and/or the harpoon in your bank if you use it. So the fly fishing rod, among with the feathers, belong in "recommended", while the lobster pot and the harpoon belong in "acceptable". If you fish pike, you need the fishing rod and bait, so they should be in "acceptable" as well. 2) Why isn't tuna in the "recommended" section? It heals 10, and costs MUCH less than lobster/swordfish. The healings of lobster/swordfish doesn't make up for the horribly expensive price that they have. Fact is, lobsters/swordfish should only be in "acceptable" since they are only useful for PKing. 3) I believe the Rune Longsword should get an honorable mention for "acceptable". I know that the Rune Longsword is slightly inferior to the Rune Scimitar, but even though it is inferior, the exp differences between them isn't THAT much, and using either to get a 99 in F2P will still be a terribly long grind anyways. Plus the stab attack is the best in the game, although it isn't that much of a mention. Also the Rune Longsword is MUCH cheaper, so if you are a "cheap player" like me, you can choose to use it as well. 4) Never, EVER use talismans. Always use either tiaras or talisman staffs. Using either would save an inventory space, whereas the talisman will just take up a space in your inventory, giving you less Runecrafting experience. Tiaras and talisman staffs should be in "recommended", and you should remove talismans from the list completely. 5) In addition to the Runecrafting section, teletabs should be in "acceptable". Although I don't use them, they can save time when crafting runes. You can also put air/water/earth runecrafting gloves in "acceptable" as well, they are good boosts to your runecrafting xp. 6) There really isn't a point of keeping rares, you can always sell them and get millions of your coins back. Really, rares are just items that take up space and are totally useless other than for show-offs. 7) Steel arrows aren't that worth it, the costs is greater than iron arrows, and iron arrows only hits 1 less than steel arrows. So, iron arrows should be your prime training arrows, and steel arrows belong in the "acceptable" section. 8) Fighting/Fancy boots for Melee, should be in "recommended". It is the best boots for F2P, and you should use it for training. Don't use it for Range/Magic, it has negative bonuses for those. Safety gloves should be in "acceptible". They are not as good as rune gauntlets, but I'm not sure whether safety gloves respawn in the chest or not so you should keep one in your bank anyway. 9) For Crafting, add the brown apron in "recommended". You need it to enter the Crafting Guild, the best place in F2P to mine gold. 10) You didn't mention capes AT ALL. They give a defence bonus, and for team capes, they have an extra "blue-dot" feature if another person wears the same cape as you. You should put an explanation as to why you shouldn't put capes in your bank and wear it at all times, similar to your explanation for the Explorer's Ring 3. Also, I don't really want to start a debate with any of the above. I'm just stating my views on certain aspects of the guide. But still, you have an excellent guide! BlogTrimmed | Master Quester | Final BossBoss pets: Bombi | Shrimpy | Ellie | Tz-Rek Jad | Karil the Bobbled | Mega Ducklings120s: Dungeoneering | Invention

October 29, 200916 yr Unfortunately for the guide writer, the game got updatet so that former members don't have to do this anymore :PBut the guide can still benefit F2Pers, since it is hard for them to sort their banks. About my bank (actually it's all my items), here it is: I keep all random event items, all the useful "keys" (muddy, brass, and maze), all tokens, and all combat equipment. I only use certain skilling tools, and I only keep elemental tiaras for the sole reason that they are the only ones worth crafting. I never keep holiday items either, they get tossed out the window. I have yet to collect the zombie gloves and the shade robes/bottoms for the random event sets, though. November 2, 200916 yr Author I bumped this thread, because I decided to say some things about your guide. First of all, powerfishing isn't just some random thing you do on the spur of the moment and do it for like 2 mins. If you're actually seriously considering PFing, you plan it out and do it for an extended period of time. So when you do decide to do it, you can then go to the Port and pick up your rod. Next, I have to admit that my guide is pretty out-of-date. That's going to be a common excuse for my replies to your posts. In fact I'm terribly sorry that I took until now to answer your post. #-o (I hope you're not too hurt to never read my threads again! Sorry!) I came pretty close to disowning my guide because no one was reading it anymore. But even then, the shops update has no effect on lobby pots or harpoons. And regular fishing? Ewwww... Fair enough. Mind you this was written up before I was starting to really work out efficiencies in the game. However this begins to lead to a slippery slope. Salmon heals more per gp and after that trout heals more. And so on and so forth. Again a fair point and again this was written up before I really started to work out price/effectiveness of doing anything in RS. At last check, water and fire talismans were worth a bundle and would be nice to collect when fighting dark wizards \:D/ 5) In addition to the Runecrafting section, teletabs should be in "acceptable". Although I don't use them, they can save time when crafting runes. You can also put air/water/earth runecrafting gloves in "acceptable" as well, they are good boosts to your runecrafting xp. After looking at a few GoP guides, I can recall that getting tabs is generally not a very good way to boost your overall xp gains in RC. The time taken to actually get the tabs usually equalizes out the time saved. However, what they ARE good for is saving time getting to obscure places like the earth altar or the mind altar. 6) There really isn't a point of keeping rares, you can always sell them and get millions of your coins back. Really, rares are just items that take up space and are totally useless other than for show-offs. People are vain. If you've got it, flaunt it. 7) Steel arrows aren't that worth it, the costs is greater than iron arrows, and iron arrows only hits 1 less than steel arrows. So, iron arrows should be your prime training arrows, and steel arrows belong in the "acceptable" section. It depends on the type of player you are to be honest. Steels also break less than irons and I'm pretty sure I've hit 2 more with them than irons, not just 1. It's a balance between cost and effectiveness. They give a rather pitiful boost and are quite heavy. Leather boots are almost on part with them. Safety gloves are outclassed by green hide vambs and are very close to regular ones. 9) For Crafting, add the brown apron in "recommended". You need it to enter the Crafting Guild, the best place in F2P to mine gold. Similar to the PF argument, if you're mining gold, you should be doing it on a long term basis. When you need it, buy it. After my tiny spike in interest for PVP, I discovered team-capes are very helpful in PVP. I'll make mention of them if I ever to a re-hash up of the guide. Also, I don't really want to start a debate with any of the above. I'm just stating my views on certain aspects of the guide. But still, you have an excellent guide! Thank you! As for your bank: What do you need the maze key for anymore? It's not really good training.Shade robes/bottoms are junk. They look EXACTLY the same as priest robes and give about the same prayer boost. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

November 2, 200916 yr Author What are you going to use the maze key for? That's the real question. It doesn't really matter if you can get it back or not if you never want to. And actually upon checking some things, shade robes are no longer random event items, but a monster drop. Shades are now found in the SoS and drop them. And actually upon checking some things, shade robes are no longer random event items, but a monster drop. Shades are now found in the SoS and drop them.Nevermind, I learned that you can get another maze key from the guildmaster, so I dropped it. Although shade robes used to be random event items, I still consider it part of Random Events (because they used to be one). This is also why I kept the security book, seeing that you can only get it from the security guard. I recently got both parts of the shade robes btw. November 7, 200916 yr The sets idea only really works if you don't PvP a lot lolz. If you skill/PvP (I'm afraid to say that with the onset of the school year, I've ditched skills to semi-AFK range - do HW while leaving RS open and clicking when I should and pk when I can). Here's my bank (quantities have been censored out so you don't see how poor I really am): I have duplicates of just about everything in there, as placeholders. Because I frequently have to pull out armor, keeping them in sets would be simply impractical. The anti fire shield is for rune mining - and yes, it does help. I trust we can all see the organization in it :D
June 2, 201016 yr Author Holy crap this thing is outdated. I really need to get to adding that members section. If anyone still has any suggestions or ideas, I'll be happy to include them.
