September 14, 200916 yr When would be a good time to ask a girl out... I've known her for like a week. But my female friends say wait till you know her better, and my male friends say, no do it now, before someone else will... Yeah... I talk/flirt etc with her, pretty much everyone knows... xD And pretty much everyone like recommends we date, they said it to both of us... But 1 week just seems a bit early... So, what time after knowing is the best time to know someone... And any tips avoiding the friendzone? usually within first 5 minutes of meeting her. However in a school situation a week seems long enough. Ask her now. gl A friend to all is a friend to none.

If you wanna go now, or if you wanna wait for later, its all up to do. Do what feels right.

September 14, 200916 yr No, don't do what feels right. Ask her out now. You have general public support. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

September 15, 200916 yr Just say that your were going to (a movie, downtown, whatever) and ask if she wants to come. Worst case scenario, she says no. Hegemony-Spain

September 15, 200916 yr Tell her that it's her decision and to do what she thinks is right. Don't screw your best friend over though, because things could get messy if he found out.

September 15, 200916 yr No, don't do what feels right. Ask her out now. You have general public support. I agree and disagree. You really should wait til it feels right, but at the same time it should feel right soon, or it's not worth it. Most relationships should be based nearly on first impressions, as most are. Obviously there are exceptions. Waiting isn't always the best idea, but sometimes the situation tell you you must. However, there's no time like the present in this case  Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Anyone who likes logic is incapable of tacos. September 15, 200916 yr Well, some of my more meaningful relationships have been with people I'd known for most of my life. But one was with someone I had barely known at the start. Hegemony-Spain

Some of us just force ourselves to give our instincts the middle finger in exchange for trained behavior. Well, some of my more meaningful relationships have been with people I'd known for most of my life. But one was with someone I had barely known at the start. I certainly prefer meeting new people to even hanging out with my friends. It's just so much more interesting. You learn such fantastic things. HALP!! In case you've forgotten my scenario, I like a girl, who was going out with Best Friend A. Then she broke up with A, dated a random jerk, then broke up with him, then dated B for a short time, then broke up with him, then dated C, who is probably my bestest friend ever. She just asked me if she should break up with him. I definitely want her to, but would I seem like a jerk if I said yes? SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO. PS she likes me and I can tell so, factor that in or w/e. Bros before [garden tools] dude. Especially in eighth grade. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

September 15, 200916 yr Ah he's in 8th grade? Yeah. Your friends are more important than a girlfriend/boyfriend. The only one relationship I've ever seen that lasted out of highschool was one that started in 9th or 10th grade and just never ended, and they ended up getting married when they were like 20. I was like 13 or 14 when they were graduating HS. Hegemony-Spain

September 15, 200916 yr I agree, do not get involved with her decision in breaking up with your best friend. It's her call. If you say yes it would be screwing your friend over and if you say no you would be lying to yourself. Just let her decide. Dentist Moreno Valley | Dentists Ontario

September 15, 200916 yr I've been without internet so I have to catch up with a fair bit, but these caught my eye. Firstly he's your mate, don't dog him over a girl. I'd tell her to break up with him if she really wanted to, but I wouldn't date her after at least for a while. I'd then tell him what she told me. Secondly, it sounds like she goes through boyfriends faster than tissues. Doesn't really sound like good girlfriend material anyway. Well, it's an interesting question. Just be cocky and funny at the same time. Sorta giggling, touching playfully a little bit. Take Insanity's tickle fight. That works. So does a thumb war (strangely. I thought I'd try it, my brother recommended it, and it really does work... oddly enough). Ummmmmmmm. To ask her out, I just ask girls if they wanna hang out sometime, get some coffee or something. If you live in a more lively place, look into something fun and active. If you know a band she really likes is playing, it probably wouldn't hurt to take her, but I definitely wouldn't do it for a first date. That's couple material. Anyways, just shoot for it. Follow your instincts. +1 on thumb wars. They escalate touching, and they work great as a transition. When I open I sometimes ask where she is from, then be like "omgnowai! I've beaten every champion from every city except that one, this can be for the title." Then I win by cheating and lay on my chauvinistic male jokes. The best way to transition I've found. You should make what you want to happen, happen. And don't let her go through your texts. I never let anyone do that. They'll start to lose respect for you, think they have more power, that sort of thing. I am smart enough to delete any private ones. lol. I checked after she gave it back, much to my relief I had texts from "kyle" about random crap. And the occasional one saying park @ 7 or w/e. But, I IMed her, inviting her to the park (turns out she wasn't going). But it's with pretty much everyone in our year, so she doesn't know where it is, so I'm walking her there xD (I'm such a gent). So, tommorrow we shall see what will happen xD You shouldn't find 'private' txts embarrassing. It's really just about the power thing mentioned.

Keep away from girls like that if you're looking for a long term relationship; from my experience they always have self-esteem issues. Like I said before in this thread you never date a friends ex, unless you're prepared to lose that friend in which case he wasn't really that much a friend in the first place. A friend to all is a friend to none.
