February 11, 201313 yr Oh, we were talking about a guy on another forum's signature from the thread I shared earlier (NWP; post #4). RPG mistakenly believed that he was slut-shaming and discredited that forum as a result. He misread the signature; NWP was arguing against a slut-shaming woman.

I think most people ITT, if asked, will say that that slut shaming is something we should strive to eliminate as a society. But my experience has been that despite the fact that we all know it's not reasonable, we still have a negative knee-jerk reaction to promiscuity. That's why I don't think it's a good idea to consider it's all wrapped up and solved. It's also much more subtle than simply slandering "sluts". I don't really care honestly. I do not associate with the kinds of people I would slut shame, and that leads to me not caring how they feel because I don't feel the need to make them think I am a good person or that I give a damn about their feelings.
