So i heard of these cockroach thingies and i would like to know what stats do you recommend if i want to melee them. Stats are on sig.

Around 75 Combat. Not much else for me to say as I am a member and never train there so that's my rough estimate.

Anyone with full rune can do it. I'd recommend at least 60 attack and strength, though.

if you are soloing, here is what i recommend

 

 

 

to make a kill:50+ in every stat

 

just for fun:55+ in every stat

 

for a bit money:60+ in every stat

 

for slow xp and good money:65-70 in every stat

 

for fast xp and awesome money:70+ in every stat

 

 

 

at your lvls i wouldn't recommend it. 51 def really isn't enough to stop the roaches from hitting frequently, and you really need more attack lvl to hit back frequently

yah u need more atk i didnt start hittin good till 65 atk and at 61 def i was usin like 3-4 lobs every few kills

I would also suggest a weapon with a crush attack (such as a b axe) since the roach soldiers can be resistant to slash and stab attacks.

thats 100% rubbish -.-

Similarily, do not listen to him telling you to use rune long instead of scimmy. Scimmy is the best weapon on f2p everywhere except possibly in bh and clan wars, where the 2h might be used for a knockout weapon. I've never seen anyone with a rune longsword since i used one as a noob before i knew scimmies were any good :?

Okay as i train there myself from time to time i would say that having all Combat skille above 60 is a must if you even think anout not waisting your time and money. If you want to start about thinking of making some really good money out of them i would suggest all skills above 65 or even 70+. Oh and another thing, i would suggest taking a scimi and no other weapon...

I have tried this back when I had 70 defense, and they still hit more than is efficiant... I would highly recommend at least 75 stats across the board if you wish to kill efficiently for either drops/exp/fun... If you are member, then 70's should be ok... just whip/d scim 'em and use barrows...

maybe you should listen to the advice of the higher lvls...we dont get this high by wasting time and not knowing what we talk about

look i kno i would get more kills numb nuts but tht high is not need around my skills u can kill enough to get a 20-30k profit every 1 or 2 trips

i'm telling you, rune long using lunge technique hits way often than scimmy (at your lvl). my nooby accout has 67att and 72str and with pot and rune long i can do 10+ 3 to 4 times in a row easy

 

 

 

try it out for your self. rune long is about a quarter slower and it has better stats in stab, slash, and strength bonus. i recommend scimmy for experienced player with 60+ str and att. otherwise i recommend b ax or rune long. a little sacrafice in speed goes a long way when u can hit more often and much higher
