Halo

Featured Replies

Well seeing as my two questions were answered, might aswell make this a discussion.

I know there is another thread, but that is for Halo 3. This is for Halo in general.

Just a small question, does Master Chief ever take off his helmet?

^That was to start a discussion :twss:

It was just a clip of how they got attacked by the flood as they were inside the building IIRC

Sgt. Johnson (Don't ask me how HE survives) and his group are in a small building, they hear noices and then get attacked by the flood. Then, the video dies when this guy gets killed (and just a little Trivia... You see the guy who filmed this a little later, in flood form. But, he fought off the flood, and can control half of his body. :ugeek: )

I thought they explained where the flood came from!

Dang, now I have to bust shotgun capps up flood creatures [wagon] without knowing where they came from.

Sgt. Johnson (Don't ask me how HE survives)

I will!During the siege of Paris II by the Covenant, he came across a crate of plasma grenades and used every single one of them. He got a huge dose of radiation and acquired Boren's syndrome, where his neural pathways scramble. It's usually fatal if not treated, but he skipped his rest and somehow made it through anyways. So when the Flood try to force a match with his neural pathways, they can't, because it's scrmabled too much. So they left him alone.

That's what they said in the books. However, in the Halo Graphic Novel (which I don't have) there's evidence on one page that Johnson may have been part of the Spartan I program, and as a Spartan I he may have been Flood immune somehow.

He's invincible. Come on..try shooting him! It's fun! From me, he's taken rockets, lasers, hundreds of bullets, grenades...

[hide=Spoilers]Yes, I know what happens near the end of Halo 3.[/hide]

Dangit, I forgot that he may have been a SPARTAN-I. SPARTANS are Immune to the flood, the flood can only kill him, they can't get into his mind.

Dang Lenin, I thought I was the only one nerdy enough to know that

Same here buddy.

Johnson spawns at least 7 times i think on the first mission of halo 1. My theory with him is in halo 2, he didn't get his invincibility drugs from the guy in the armory.

You didn't miss that much though, just how the flood got out and stuff...

:D Someone other than me actually payed attention to those Halo books lol..

Yeah, he got some rare syndrome from all the plasma discharge or whatever that kept the flood from infecting him. Then he, along with a few other people, made it off of the first Halo on a pelican. :geek:

Can someone please answer my question?

I bought Halo 2 to play after Halo btw.

It's probably because you still have a saved game there. Did you save your Two Betrayals game? Btw, that's the best level in the game.

And yes, I visit Halopedia. I know this stuff ;)

Well usually when I have not finished the level it sais still in progress. But Two Betrayals sais:

"Activate the weapon at the heart of Halo and learn the truth" So if I start Two betrayals will the library level be complete?

GG.gif

As long as your last save was on the Library it will say it is in progress. So yes, start TB and the Library should be completed.

Ok, problem solved.

How about making this a Halo discussion. Seeing as the other is mainly about Halo 3.

And the fact you guys already started a discussion :twss:

I just finished "Two Betrayals" I was dissapointed. By the name of the level, I thought there was going to be a uber cutscene, but no, just got put on a covenant ship.

I loved Two Betrayals, but I could never figure out what the second betrayal was....The Monitor, obviously, but what else? Betraying Spark by destroying the Pulse Generators?

The second betrayal was that the "Reclaimer" destroyed the pulse generators. Good guess :D

If Master Chief raised Halo's defenses, the sentinels would become hostile, and kill everything.

What do you mean by "raise"? You mean raise as in turn on, or raise as in raze, destroy everything? If he raised them, by which I think you mean activate them, that ring, along with the others would fire some sort of weapon that would kill everything in the Galaxy, as explained by Cortana. If you mean raze, then yea, the sentinels would go bonkers and kill him. If you mean something else I have no idea what.
