Hecks, yeah! If you like Death, you might like Fear Factory.

We should euthanize anyone who lacks the capability to contribute to society in any way.

Please don't elect this man for president in 2012

I checked out Malevolent Creation by the way, Warri0r. Not bad. :)

Wookiee: You could try out

. I have to say, I'm becoming a pretty big fan of this band. I think they'd be categorized as Sludge Metal, but I'm not entirely sure. As for albums, I'd try either Leviathan or Blood Mountain.

If you already know this band, tell me and I'll PM you another recommendation if you would like.

Cool.

You probably know him already, but you could try Sufjan Stevens. If you've got the time, somewhere. ::'

Illinois is very good.

When the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

Just about everyone here would love AC/DC's new album Black Ice. Pure classic rock awesomeness, just listen to "Rock n' Roll train". I'm really more of a fan of heavier rock/metal, but even after 20 years this band never fails to amaze me. It's also great driving music.

Don't worry, hehe, no piracy involved. I pre-bought some of the songs on the album, not to be pretentious, but I appreciate the band a lot and they're worth the nominal payment.

I bet I wouldn't.

Try Electric Wizard, a really awesome Stoner band. Anything from the album Dopethrone is good.

I know your tastes, and apparently they don't coincide with mine. Closest thing I will recommend is Ministry, although I'm fairly sure you already know about them, I think this because of your dictionary of metal.

If you have heard of Ministry, something that is pretty much just punk, The Arrogant Sons of [Guns].

I'm kind of looking for something to try out my brother's new Bose earbuds, to see if they are worth the $130. Basically, songs with high bit rates and lots of variance. Heavy bass, but also higher notes. This is musical taste aside, I'm looking for pure sound quality.

EDIT: If you feel up for it, I'll also take some punk or ska recommendations.

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.

Good to hear you liked it. :)

And for aquariusman: try Cynic for some awesome prog/jazz fusion death metal.

Uh, try Norther. Kinda a Melodic Death Metal band, I'm sure someone will come along to prove me wrong with some obscure examples, though.

Check out Armagedda. Not exactly groundbreaking, but they're still pretty good black metal. As for an album, try out Only True Believers.

Cool.

I don't really know what to recommend, but I know you'd listen to pretty much anything... Sooooo, try Ten Masked Men, even if just for the fact they make Death Metal parodies of Pop songs. ;)

I don't have anything to recommend you though. To the poster below, please recommend something to Cyco, not me.

Cool.

of
. I don't even care that I've recommended them to death. Their album Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? (second link) is awesome. They're debut full-length Cherry Peel (first link) is almost as awesome.

Cool.

Try Slipknot. Not the nu metal slipknot, the crossover thrash slipknot. They only have one extremely short length demo but its great imo ;).

Why even try with that idiot? Honestly, there is no point whatsoever. I'd get better replies if I argued with a tree stump.

Some of Machinae Supremacy's older stuff, maybe? You can find a bunch released for free on their site. They have good stuff in their newer albums, but I reckon their older songs are the best.

Don't know much about your Musical Tastes, so give Opeth's Damnation a try. It's a great gateway to getting into Opeth who are one of the best bands in the world IMO.

Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!

Alborosie, a very good reggae artist (Please people, if you know anything of Reggae don't suggest me Bob marley; )

Check out the Herbalist song.

;>

Intriguing, check out Neurosis. I got their album The Eye of Every Storm, and it is just incredible post-metal, and I never listened to any other post-metal before it.

I know of them and like them. ;]

Cult of Luna if you like Neurosis, early albums are more post-metal and newer albums have a post-rock influence.

Sacramentum - their first album.

and what the is post metal ( thought neurosis was sludge)??? is that some fluff stuff like post rock?
