!!!200-230k an hour with only 13 slayer?!!! (regular edits)

Desperate for Money? Need an easy way to get it, without spening too much?

Want to get 200-230k an hour? Your looking in the right place.

I already have enough money off of these monsters, so im telling the rest of you, even if you've heard it before or haven't. The magical monster is...

!!!CAVE SLIMES!!!

Requirements:

At least:

60 attack, Defense, Strength and Hitpoint are reccomended to make it effective.

13 Slayer, Without it, you can't even touch them.

You could try at lower levels, but with stats lower than said above, your better off collecting plant pots

Reccomended:(for max profit each hour)

70+ attack, defense, strength

80+ Strength would be best

Outfit:

Best/to/worst

[NOTE]The trip was slower[/u]. Your better off wearing metal armour for the bonuses, they rarely damage anyway (except the poison, explained later).

NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER BRING BARROWS, IT DEGRADES AND YOU LOSE MONEY

The Average, Ideal Setup

guide1ay7.png

Inventory:

Whatever the other guides might say, BRING SUPER ANTI'S (3 doses per pot).

You only need to take a dose roughly every 150 swamp tars you manage to get.

You are only spending about 650 coins per pot

You will be saving money.

Bring at least an oil lantern with a tinderbox. Bullseye lanterns are more ideal.

Inventory lookage

guide2mt9.png

It is Reccomended you bring a pot for roughly every 400-500 kills you need to do (3 doses).

3 is enough for about an hour.

There is no need for spiny helms, run past the wall beast and you should be fine

How to get there:

guide4jv5.png

You could alternativly go the lost tribe route, but it's still the same speed and may be more annoying

[NOTE]

Once You enter the cave, run past the wall beast, you are at a two way junction.

Go straight north, or take the right, depending what camera angle you are at and you should be at them.

Simple enough eh?

Once you Start fighting them, THEY WILL POISON YOU EVEN IF THEY HIT 0'S.

Their poison can hit upto 3, stays at 2 for a long time.

The Money Maker

This is the bit where you get money now!!!

See that it drops Swamp Tar? pick it up, trust me.

Swamp Tar on the GE is roughly 180-190-200gp each.

Cave Slimes drop 1-9 of them at a time.

You get a kill in a few secs

See the money rackup infront of your eyes already? =D

guide3sb1.png

The Calculations

Now say you get roughly 1100 Swamp Tars an hour.

You sell them on the GE for mid price (190 each).

You make from roughly that batch 209,000GP

The Pots (3 of them per hour) come to roughly 1800gp altogether

On average, that would be a standard profit of 207,200gp

If you included other drops such as:

Iron boots (roughly 1 every 200 tars)

Gems (roughly 1 every 150 tars)

Half keys (roughly every 1500 tars)

Then you can add about an extra 10k onto the profit account (if your lucky enough)

For a grand total of...

217200GP ROUGHLY EACH TRIP!!!!!

DUE TO THE MARKET RECENTLY, SWAMP TARS HAVE GONE SLIGHTLY UP, WHILE EVERYTHING ELSE IS GOIGN DOWN. THIS IS A SOLID MONEY MAKING METHOD WHICH WILL HELP YOU GET THE ITEM YOU'VE AlWAYS WANTED BUT CHEAPER NOW =D

EDIT LOG:

9th august 2008 - Edit log created. Starting to look at suggestions and try them out.

10th august 2008 - Edit 2: Info about dhide compared to metal armour

This is my first guide, so please leave me comments on how i can improve =D

Nice...Just do a grammer check, and change the name of the post-It discourages higher, more experienced players to look at it.. And did you estimate the 1.1k tar an hour, or did you test?

Also, using bandos is a Bit drastic

Ive been doing it for a long time, most trips i get roughly 1.2k worth, some trips i end up with barely getting 900. Sort of decided to do about 10 trips and do an average on it and got about 1100 tars an hour.

About the bandos bit, i was just showing what would be the absolute best to use for it

Might do a quick grammar check, maybe change the title, thanks for letting me know =D

NP. Also, how many do you get per Hour, not just per load.

Sorry, im getting load and hour mixed up now

Do you have any thoughts on bringing herbs (or buying them at the GE before selling the tar) to make the tar into herb tar? I know some have suggested that when using this method but I haven't seen it as more than a suggestion, so I'm curious.

Obtained quest cape and base 92 before obtaining any 99s! Currently finishing out my 99s with the (long-distant) goal of comp cape.

Hmm, it's pretty good, but when you say 3 pots for an hour, do you mean 3 (4)'s (12 doses) or 3 doses? It'd be better to make that clear. (I do know that it's 12 doses (12 * 5 = 60), but it confused me a bit anyway, and it won't hurt to change that).

And don't you need a spiny helmet if you go through that way? Did you consider using the Lost Tribe route?

I'll give it a 7/10, pretty good but needs a bit more info.

No point, just collect the swamp tars, you will make more money

I'll just edit some info into there.

When i mean 3 pots, i mean 3(3) pots

No point of using spiny helm, just run past the wall beast and he wont get you

It's the same speed roughly using the lost tribe route and the lummy to swamp route

Nice guide, I went for 15 minutes to see how much I would make and I made 100k (40k from a half key drop) so it's atleast 200k an hour, I suggest taking 4 dose super anti's just for the sake of saving space. Also I got hurt by the wall beast even though I ran but these cave slimes never hit anything (like 1 dmg per 5 monsters) so my hp regened to full pretty quickly and even when I 1 shotted all 3 of the spawns they had respawned in time for me to hit again, but I was on a full world, again nice guide  .

Lowgravity, I want to be just like you. But...I never will be as 1337 as you. :(

good guide, altho i would suggest to take guthans with you and full inven of super anti's!!

if nesecary, you could get spare out, and heal for a bit :)

Full Guthans is overkill, and tbh, 1 hp per minute is overkill here.

You'd never survive the boredom of full invent of antis. And if you take the lost tribe shortcut you will never pass wall beast.

 Great Guide

I'll try it when i bcom a member again....

Any way you could use the sara symbol + prayer book (from the Great brain robbery quest) combo for unlimited anti-posions.....

  • 2 weeks later...

Looks like you beat me to making this guide, though I may still make one on the matter.

If I may make a few recommendations, it is better to wear dragonhide than metal. In fact, it is better to wear nothing at all than metal. Their attack is a "Magical Melee".

I think full void melee should also work wonderfully there, and a godsword because the slow speed is nulled by the fact that you can probably one hit kill them each time with it.

Rare Drops: Dragon Sq Half : 1, Dragon Med : 2, Dragon Claws : 2, Dragon Legs : 1, Dragon Boots : 60+, Granite Legs: 8

A few thing you might want to think about.

- Cannoning might be overkill, but have you ever tried it. I mean, they drop really well, and they will probably frequently be 1 hit with a cannon. You might get a lot more kills this way, maybe even enough to make more then 230k/hour.

-And any guide which suggest making money via killing things should also list how much combat xp/hour you can get. If I could make 200-230k/hour picking flax, it would be better to do your idea because i would be getting -insert number- xp/hour in my combat stats as well. (I really can't make 200-230k/hour picking flax, this is just an example)

-This is also a guide aimed at lower level players, so you might want to get rid of suggesting people to wear bandos, as this may scare some of the people you are trying to help away.

Got his first skill cape April 7th 2009, at lv 121+12 cb and 2000 total

There's a spot with about 5 of them in the Dorgesh'Kaan slayer caves or whatever they're called, you don't have to run around as much there. You may want to mention it.

Otherwise, good guide for the lower leveled player.

wow i never knew that they dropped that many tars at once good guide and thanks for the tips this might be good for a low lvl rune pure.

dragon drops:21 axes 7 med 2 chains 1 skirt

gwd drops:bandos:2 hilt 3 plate 6 tasset 2 boot

armadyl:2 helm 1 skirt (all 3 drops were 80 ppl split)

dag kings: 9 zerkers 15 warrior 21 axes 3 seers 3 muds

barrows drops:87

99 magic going for 99 construction.

I almost never read this guide because of the title. Remove the "@@@ and 0_0" it is not a good idea.

-Cannoning is overkill. You waist 200 gp per shot making less money.

-Like as stated above, if it involves combat, use combat xp rates

-Use d hide/karils instead of metal armour.

7/10 overall

Sorry i havent been on for awhile, but i'll do edits to your suggestions if appropriate and try and answer more questions.

I'll look at the dragonhide thing first and see how well it goes.

I'm actually doing this just now out of boredom and for it's simplicity, it's actually not bad.

Since i'm carrying 22 Super antipoisons (4) (used 2 already), I've estimated that you get around 250-300 per potion.

But it's good, got 600 already and will probably get another 5000 or so before I run out of potions. ::'

EDIT: Oh and by the way, they do so little damage it's probably easier to wear metal armour for the bonus. You only really take damamge from when you forget to drink some of your potion, and even that heals.

Thanks so much for this guide! You really can make 200k/hour!

(here's some pics of me killing the slime[unpotted and no pray, of course])

It's not really good cb training, but good money making.
