July 26, 200817 yr Hey everyone. I was killing Dunkelbestien (Dark Beasts in German :) ) when I noticed something interesting. There are several mine carts in the Temple of Light dungeon. They all seem to lead to dead end track. Until now, I had not noticed the blue ore place in it. I incorrectly assumed it was rune ore (due to the nearby rune rock). When I searched it, "Nothing interesting happened". When I examined it, however, I received this interesting message. As many of you avid questers know, Daeyalt ore is the ore mined beneath Myerditch (Legacy of Seergaze being the most recent quest in Vampyre quest arc). What is it doing in the Temple of Light? Mournings End Part III has been a long time coming. I hope this means there is a connection between the excavation the Elves are doing and the Daeyalt ore mined through slave labor by the vyrewatch. Cheers, Rhajiv
July 26, 200817 yr Hrm, Interesting find. "The greatest joy a man can know is to conquer his enemies and drive them before him. To ride their horses and take away their possessions. To see the faces of those who were dear to them bedewed with tears, and to clasp their wives and daughters in his arms." -Genghis Khan
July 26, 200817 yr well sure its coming but if its as annoying as part 2 im gonna go get me some pain killers seems that alot of sequels are in the mix, maybe there will be a Sequel month for quests.
July 26, 200817 yr Ye good find, someone else did post this a month or so back, i think they found it inside the elves hq though but im not sure, not sure if this is 100% proof but id say its good evidence that they're linked, Elves and Drakan are both servants of zamorak so its not impossible Edit: ye, some of the elves Theres a fine line between not listening and not caring,I like to think I walk this line every day. Pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man. You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs.
July 26, 200817 yr If both carts had 'this cart contains some mithril ore' would you still think that? Maybe they've both on their own found a daeyalt source and a way to use it for something useful. My blog

July 26, 200817 yr Author Every cart in the dungeon gives me this message. I found this interesting because Daeyalt ore is unique to the quest. There is no use for it outside of that quest.

[hide=Don't read the following if you dont want your quest line spoiled]Some of the mourners are elves, ever noticed how those lvl 108 mourners before the door to the temple of Light path count as elve slayer tasks? They drop the same items(except the tele crystals) too[/hide] My blog

July 26, 200817 yr I made a thread about this some months ago, but it dissapered...maybe it wasnt that interesting. Anyway, as some ppl say it was a bug and that Jagex were going to fix it...they didnt, so (for me) there is some kind of conection between elves and vyrewatch. And i tried taking the ore to the carts but didnt work. Proud owner of a Questcape

July 26, 200817 yr The daeyalt miners tell that the ore goes to a refinery in a big underground city. Very likely Keldagrim or some other city built by Red Axe. Red Axe is revealed to be trading/cooperating with Arposandra (Glouphrie). Elven crystal items are used in the Glouphrie quests, and the entrance of the Arposandra sewer is in the elven area. I'd guess that the ore is used to make terrorbirds and tortoises "warped". Glough, Glouphrie. Very similar names. Ivandis Seergaze, Ivan Strom (I Vanstrom), Ivan (in Burgh de Rott), Iban (Underground pass). EDIT: the dwarf at death altar ruins talking about blood talisman ("Pretty please with a blood talisman on top").

July 26, 200817 yr one of two things 1. they are relaed 2. they just reused a prop without changing the examin Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
July 26, 200817 yr Oh i hope so. The Mournings End and Vampyre quests were my favorites (also some of the difficult) and to have them together. Wow that would be an awesome quest. July 26, 200817 yr The daeyalt miners tell that the ore goes to a refinery in a big underground city...I'd guess that the ore is used to make terrorbirds and tortoises "warped". The quest gave me the impression that whatever was happening in the city was causing pollution that made them warped...perhaps the "underground city" the ore is being delivered to is the mysterious city?
July 27, 200817 yr didn't hazlemere say that anima mundi(the energy that powers the crystal stuff, and that seren is the divine part of) was being seperated from the rest of it, and in the process freeing up massive amounts of energy and creating that sludge? I think he also said that the warped creatures were made that way on purpose. Seems like the runescape equivalent of mutants and atomic energy? Anyway, considering that bloodvelds are pretty warped to begin with, possibly the mutated bloodvelds under meiyerditch are the first products of anima mundi manipulation?
July 27, 200817 yr Dang, the Vampyre quests are my favourite....But I havn't even done Regicide :( Nice find though :P Doomy edit: I like sheep
July 27, 200817 yr Anyway, considering that bloodvelds are pretty warped to begin with, possibly the mutated bloodvelds under meiyerditch are the first products of anima mundi manipulation? It's Possible, but I was always under the impression that the bloodvelds were mutated because of the power emitting from the blood alter, and that caused them to become mutated and more powerful. [hide=Quest Spoiler Alert]Aside, we do know the gnomes and elves are closley related and are using King Lathas to move troops into Ardy. Looking to the east we can see Drakan is trying to overthrow the ballance and put Zamorak in charge. There is another connection however between Ardy and the eastern borders. That is Hazel. Its possible this ore is coveted by all Mahjarrat for some use. My Theory is, the gnomes, elves, and Mahjarrat are all working together and are using the ore to try and replicate the stone of Jas. Thus during the process they are causing pollution in the poison swamps. We do know the stone of Jas is the source of all magic and very closley related to RC, and both Moryania Quests and Elf quests are related to runecrafting. It's possible that is the missing link to all of this. Combining forces to replicate or find the stone in order to overpower saradomin forces from the east and the west... Its also possible that Drakan has no knowladge of the ore's uses and is simply supplying it to the gnomes/elves for whatever projects they are using it for to deform the creatures.[/hide]
July 27, 200817 yr Hmm, possibly daeyalt ore can store and release massive amounts of energy, so glouphrie is getting energy from the anima mundi, and some syndicate is charging it with daeyalt ore to mimic the stone of jas? Also, saying that both quest lines are related to runecrafting isn't saying alot, many quests have that. And, just saradomin? Why not Guthix with that much force, Guthix would just be able to send Zamorak packing if they brought him here. Notice how the Zamorakian and Saradomian forces were working together in the latest myreque quest. If drakan does however have no idea what daeyalt ore does, and is just supplying it, then maybe he is doing so to get his forces across the salve?
July 27, 200817 yr So what, there's some big conspiracy that deals with the Elves, Vampyres, Red Axe/Dwarves and Gnomes?
July 27, 200817 yr Could this have anything to do with the fact that the death temple was discovered in MEP2 and the blood temple was found in legacy or seergaze? Also The ore is getting across the salve river, which the vampires/werewolves cant cross, normally. Yet in a quest (I forget which one it is but part of me wants to say devious minds) two werewolves got across the river. Maybe that was their route. The vampires ship ore across the river and the gnomes pick it up (thus the spirit tree near varrock), from there the gnomes sell it to the elves, who ship it off somewhere else. I think what everyone is over looking here is the giant dwarf (quest) and the red axe mining company. It wouldn't make much sense for the elves to want such useless ore seeing as how they discovered what they were looking for. Dwarfs however could do many thing with ore. Not only that but there were already some in the underground pass and one next to the death temple. It would be a perfect opportunity to insert the red axe into the storyline. Ponies!
