Merging of the Elf and Vampyre Quest Arcs - Proof - ME III?

Featured Replies

Reading some of the great posts has got me thinking...

A lot of questers have complained that some quest arcs (devious minds, ME2, Red Axe) have been long neglected.

Maybe Jagex will make the 150th quest (I think we are on 142 now) a quest to end all quests (a little hyperbole i know lol) combining all of these arcs =)

I bet it is just a glitch; they re-used the same mine cart models and forgot to change the examine. Thats what I think.

I dont think Jagex takes short cuts like that. There are clear links described in this thread that disapprove the glitch theory.

How come the carts in the Falador mine or at Coal trucks dont have daeyalt ore in it?

rhupajiva.png

Could this have anything to do with the fact that the death temple was discovered in MEP2 and the blood temple was found in legacy or seergaze? Also The ore is getting across the salve river, which the vampires/werewolves cant cross, normally. Yet in a quest (I forget which one it is but part of me wants to say devious minds) two werewolves got across the river. Maybe that was their route. The vampires ship ore across the river and the gnomes pick it up (thus the spirit tree near varrock), from there the gnomes sell it to the elves, who ship it off somewhere else. I think what everyone is over looking here is the giant dwarf (quest) and the red axe mining company. It wouldn't make much sense for the elves to want such useless ore seeing as how they discovered what they were looking for. Dwarfs however could do many thing with ore. Not only that but there were already some in the underground pass and one next to the death temple. It would be a perfect opportunity to insert the red axe into the storyline.

remember with the dwarves in the underground pass and also the one that you get the death talli from accidently says blood talli instead of death.

why would they do that the two mine carts were created years appart and its not like it would be hard to type out a new examine.

Well wasnt falador mine made well before daeyalt ore, and when they did make the ore, they needed carts with it in them, therefore forcing them to make something new. I doubt this is true though.

For some reason I actually think this might lead to a lot of quest series being continued/ended. Devious minds is confusing me. I believe he gave you an orb or something to bring to the high priest. Then you find that the monk is dead, and the high priest gives you a note for the guy in falador park. I think it might of been the zammy priets, or the werewovles or vampires that killed the monk, because they are so close to him. Since those are all related to zammy, I think theyre trying to get the orb or the sword for themselves. This is most likely completely wrong though.

BOO

Has anyone tried putting some daeyalt ore in there yet? :-k

It's what I do

I actually thought about this when Legacy of Seergaze came out.

The "Dark Lord" does sound kind of Vampyre-ish.

Jagex haven't even fixed larger HD problems such as the Top Hat removing hair, grown willow trees using the old model and garbled textures, capes going through virtually everything, most amulets going through armour, claws and Rod of Ivandis floating away from female hands, Princess Blouse and all other white items looking grey and most lesser used items getting super stretchy when doing anything other than standing still.

The tiny matter of them putting "minecartcave03" where "minecartcave02" should be is probably at the very bottom of their incredibly long list.

^ Someone with sense.

The Elves never ventured far enough east to have any contact with Morytania / the Vampyres according to the Runescape Books. and vice versa. All this is clutching at straws.

Well tehcnially thats true, but we're not saying the Elves and Vampyers are directly involved. Rather the Gnomes are possibly orchastrating a connection between the 2. Since we dont know what the ore is used for its not really possible to tell who the end user is, and therefore we cant tell exactly who is doing what for who and how many partys are involved. But if this isnt a bug then it shows some clear involvement with the east and the west trying to gang up on the humans. We already know the Gnomes are going to great lengths to ally with other civilizations (Ape Toll, Elves, Ect..) to eliminate the humans, so its not out of the realm of posability they are aranging some communication with the Vampyres and the Elves.

This all sounds really confusing. I really hope that there will be some sort of end to all these quests. However, I really am not so great at remembering the storyline to all these quests. #-o I really can't even remember what happened in most of them, so I guess I'm good without the ending anytime soon. It would be cool though. :D

I think so too, but I might be wrong.

Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

Tbh i think that the merging of the vampyre and elve storyline is very likely, if you look at the rewards. both of the latest quests in these storylines have given us 2 high lvl rc altars.(death and blood). Perhaps the last quest will give us access to the soul altar? Also i doubt that red axe/gnomes/elves/vampyres are all in it together.

who knows, the quest might be next month, jagex has been releasing some really good uptades.

Subzero-x3.gif

lulz wut?

At first I was highly skeptical. This seemed more like a programming error whereby they used teh same code purely by fluke. However, time has passed and Jagex must be aware of this by now because they browse a lot of forums and have had bug reports sent to to them about this subject. Nothing has changed within a month so I assume that is is intentional. (either that or jagex are lazy)

CANE

Just to be different.

Think about it. A freaking Dragon Cane with a Dragonstone gem.

The spec will simply your character equiping a glove and beachslapping the enemy, who will break down and do the Cry emote for 10 seconds straight.

I really hope not, since I haven't done any of those vampyre quests.

The morning's end storyline is probably the only quest that I've actually really wanted to come out haha.

I'm a bit dubious, I mean... if it's a bug then I can sort of see why it hasn't got fixed yet, cos if it is then it can't be the most significant bug... it wouldn't be top of their priority list to fix. Not like the body stretching on female d'hide and that... Mind you, I don't really understand all this quest stuff, I've not done MEP2 yet and I don't know if I could handle it at the moment because of the damn lag my computer seems to be giving me.

Besides, I don't really see how elves and vampyres could be connected because they're at the complete opposite ends of the world. Although maybe because they ARE the furthest apart it's possible to be connected because of that...

I don't know!! Aah, I find all this very confusing anyway

Ill pour a cup to you my darling.

I would actually buy membership again just to do this quest \'

It makes absolutely no sense that the two would be merged. They're completely separate.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
