July 26, 200817 yr Ok... not true right? Basically I was on my range pure at IceCaves and this level 95 has his 2h out hitting 22s and basically boasting about it. I asked his str lvl which his reply was 76, and so I said "Oh, pot/pray?" He says no. I told him that was BS and that 76 doesn't hit natural 22s in f2p. Long story short, He basically calls me a noob and says its b/c he's got 80 attack... He brings 2 friends a 104 and a 95 to tell me that higher attack does ... make you hit higher... Really... Am I so clueless? Since when? Or was he just being pathetic and refusing to admit that he was praying...?
July 26, 200817 yr Sounds like he thinks prayer/pot is something to be ashamed of, and he doesn't want to admit that he was.. There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.
July 26, 200817 yr Attack does not effect how much you hit. Going from 88-99 Attack with 85-86 Strength, and I always hit the same max. Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198
July 26, 200817 yr No. Attack does not affect how high you hit, that is strengths job. Here is a quick run down on what the four Combat Skills do: o Attack: Determines the frequency of your attacks, so the likelihood of you hitting o Strength: Determines how high you will hit o Defence: Determines how often you will get hit, or how often you won't get hit, in other words o Hit Points: Determines how many hits you can survive for My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. July 26, 200817 yr your att level determines how mnay times you hit the person. like if u have a low att u will hit for a lot of zeros. higer, u hit more often. =0
July 26, 200817 yr Author Thanks. That's what I thought... He says he maxes 26s with prayer... and can "Probably hit 30's with pot too" I knew that last part was a joke...
July 26, 200817 yr He's completely wrong. Attack makes you hit more accurately while Strength makes you hit more.
July 26, 200817 yr Thanks. That's what I thought... He says he maxes 26s with prayer... and can "Probably hit 30's with pot too" I knew that last part was a joke... It might pay for you to not listen to your friend from now on ;) . My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
July 27, 200817 yr Thanks. That's what I thought... He says he maxes 26s with prayer... and can "Probably hit 30's with pot too" I knew that last part was a joke... Dude, I barely hit 30s at 75 strength, and that's with +100 strength, whip + rune defender, a super set and a black mask on-task. Him hitting 30s with a rune two-hand at 76 strength is impossible, even with strength potions, a maxed strength bonus, and the 15% prayer. Feel free to loudly laugh at him and make demeaning jokes about him. Also, strength = max hit and attack = accuracy, like everyone else said. Someone with 99 attack and 1 strength would hit a lot - a lot of ones, maybe twos. Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D
July 27, 200817 yr Maximum Hit: 21 According to tip it's calculator. and thats known to be off by 1 or 2. Maybe he wasnt lying about pots and prayer? Although attack had nothing to do with it and he still couldnt be hitting 30s with them. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.
July 27, 200817 yr At 76 str, from my personal experiences, his max hit would be 25 with pot and pray, maybe 26 if he has rune gaunts. His neutral max hit would be 20.
July 27, 200817 yr As others have said... attack has nothing to do with what you hit. Just your chance of a hit. Thanks for the sig Rose!My blog to 99 slayer: Here
