Good Junk Items?

I've been needing some junk items to trade around. Could someone tell me a few good ones? Thanks.

Well, it depends if you would like to amass these items by buying them, or from training skills.

 

 

 

If you want to train skills I suggest willow/maple longbow (u) from fletching, addy/rune jav drops form dragons, other various drops that won't sell at med price, pouches/scrolls from summoning, etc..

 

 

 

If you want to buy items, I can only really think of seed dibbers, plant pots (filled), and baskets from Farming Shops.

 

 

 

I think it is most wise just to get your junk from training skills, and be able to get rid of items that you otherwise wouldn't be able to. That is generally the idea of junk trading.. to get rid of hard to sell junk. Buying items and selling them is not only a waste of time, but it is what causes a lot of people to whine about junk trading, along with a mixture of jealousy in most cases.

Don't do it! It's a big waste of time. There are better ways to train fletching and better ways to get real money. Making junk is one of the worst things a rs player could think of.

Who makes 50k Willow longs for training? Summoning pouches are easily sellable, and in some cases unbuyable. Just sell them, I don't see why you would perposely want junk>money?

If you can make 1m gp worth of junk quicker than you could 1m gp of real money then go for it, other wise your just wasting your time.

 

 

 

Junk is something you just let pile up over the months.

I havn't checked the prices recently, but i remember buying junk potions (fishing potions, agility potions, hunter potions ect,) in (3), drinking a sip to make it (2) and using it on caviar to make it a mix. I'm not sure if it still works, but you net around 600gp total junk for each one, and you can make a little over 800 of them if you work at it. This method your essentially spending almost 1k cash on 1.6k junk, but its a bit faster then training herblore with serum 207s. I havn't looked into the prices that much, but thats one of the only ways i can think of thats actually training a skill.

 

 

 

Or you could always zammy gwd. 300ish addy p++ arrows is a fairly common drop that sits around 300k in junk. Who knows, you might get a snazy spear, or staff or even a hilt gathering junk this way ^^.

Why is everyone so opposed to people purposely creating junk. Think of it this way, say if I get a cat mask as a treasure trail reward and the price on the ge is nowhere close to what the item is worth. Then it is efficient to collect junk if I can make substantially more junk money than if I make gp. Thus when I have enough junk I can sell it with the mask and make a lot more money had I gone with my usual money making attempts. Its all about efficiency and if making junk makes you more money then you do it.

People are just too ignorant to get it through their thick skulls. I was sitting at the G.E. the other day, and saw two kids arguing about junk trading.. One player was soley making Willow Longbow (u)'s for junk to sell his Cat mask.. That will only make you >80k an hour! Now how is that in any way better than just selling it for Cash, and making 200k+ an hour elsewhere?
