Dont get mad at reb, it's normal for people to associate lock picking with stealing. I know I would. On that note not many people pick locks as a 'hobby' so how the hell are we supposed to know?

California law includes the following:

yeah they put a little guy named jim into the lock, and he does the stuff to unlock it. He comes in a box with his own instruction manual. The instruction manual is as follows "insert 'slim jim' into lock, wait 1-5 seconds for results."

Wait wait wait, nvm. I'm gonna keep this open, give me a moment to clean up the mess.

You seem to do a lot of cleaning around here :-k

Man you have no idea. The staff gave me a maid's uniform and everything. I have to wear it every time I moderate the forums :(

On another note, the link is fine, and I have known other people (I think it was trapical, not sure) who practise lock picking as a hobby.

Oh and topic starter, mind using the edit button? KThx!

Why'd you delete my post about slim jim's?

EDIT: It was on-topic, you know.

Christ Lion, you may as well have locked it. You left like five posts of the original and three of them have nothing to do with the topic. There's no thread left.

And look, the new replies aren't much better.

Your post (and the others quoting it) are back now (I keep my deleted posts in a little box beside my computer. It's labeled "dirty things")

Edit:  ok back on topic now!

Meh, this topic had little potential to begin with. The kid should have hit up a site like yahoo answers of whatnot.

And if we bug Lion enough, he might post pics of himself in a sexy maid outfit ;)

Lionheart you never answered that. I demand an answer to both questions!

I know a little bit about picking locks but not enough to do anything severe. If your going to break the law by breaking an entry I would either:

A.) Kick down the door

B.) Break down the window

C.) Use a device to break down another entrance.

Seems legit to me.

NO, now get on topic.

~Lionheart_0

Best thing in the thread.

OT: It would appear that you can have them, but not to use for anything, if the guy who posted California law is correct and you live in California. I always wanted a set of lockpicks, but they're outright illegal in Virginia....

Am I the only one who sees his username and the fact he needs help regarding lockpicks have something in common?

On Topic: It'd be kinda cool to learn how to use lock picks, in case you forgot a key to your house somewhere or a key to any lock.

Well, I'll try my best to answer your question.. First off, it's a fairly good set, from what I can tell, but its not really the tools that are going to get you anywhere. I'm an amateur with picking locks, but I've learned that most of the time, it can be done with two small paperclips, bent into a straight piece of metal. The main thing you have to remember, using a tool-kit or not, you have to concentrate, and try not to let anything else bother you at the time, you have to block out everything ::'

Hitman247m.png

Just like you do, when you're about to make a hit?

:P

I dunno, seems strange that a dude named Lockopener wants to know about locks and a Hitman comes to answer him...

But I don't want to go among mad people!

Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here..."
