Regarding Blogworld/BSC - please post - don't lock please

it may not be a blog, but it concerns many of the users here, and may end in flames if it is not resolved. A clanchat in runescape is probably out of jurisdiction of TIF moderators, but if it spills onto here it will be.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Because of a recent clash between many people in the Clan chat, I have deicided to make this thread, where many of the users involved might see it. It may not be a blog, but it should be discussed and worked out, so no trouble arises.

 

 

 

Anyone with any thoughts, vents, and possible causes for this, please post here (calmly, mind you) so we can reach agreements and get to the bottom of the problem.

My idea is thay ban's can only be issued with real, solid evidence, aka a screenshot provided to our lovley chat leader and the person being banned. No more "He did X so he should be banned" and then the person is banned and has no idea why. Plenty of the people banned have had it done for crap reasons.

 

 

 

Also whenever someone is kicked they should be given an answer as to why. I know I've been kicked as soon as I enterd the chat, and then upon asking for an explanation being ignored or kicked again.

 

 

 

Also the no complaining about being kicked rule is idiotic, I'm sorry but it's the truth. If someone thinks they were unfairly kicked they definatly have the right to argue it.

 

 

 

It'd also be nice if our long time generals weren't removed for no good reason, or because there are too many and then new ones are added just days later (not going to name aany names, though it should be obvious to regulars). The fact that they'll listen, suck up and do what ever you want doesn't make them good generals. It makes them impulsive and kick happy. The old generals from back in blogschat and even blogscape are proven to be solid generals with good decision making abilitys.

 

 

 

I fully agree with mumm though, spam should equal a kick. However what spam is should be more clearly defined in regards to amount and magnitude.

 

 

 

I'll add more if I think of it. Solid evedince for every kick/ban is top priority though. Alot got added since I wrote this, might not be valid.

 

 

 

 

I'm stepping down anyways. Way too much Drama for a pointless computer game. I've lost way too many friends over this. I just want to play Runescape and havea good time. Nowadays I can't even play without having some sort of complaint. To all of you who think they can run a chat easy, Don't be fooled. I once thought it would be very easy. How I was sadly mistaken. You win. Have your glory. This community is way too deep to be pulled out. Theres no fixing what has happend.

I suppose this is part of having a large community, with so many people using the chat there were bound to be disagreements eventually but i suppose it goes in our favour that it took everyone this long to fall out.

 

 

 

I'm not sure why, but Blogscape/chat/world seems to have what made it a fun place to chat in when clan chats first came out. Which may be down to all the moving about from different versions of the original Blogscape chat for various reasons (which couldn't be helped) and people. Thats my view on it anyway.

 

 

 

I like Iwa's idea of a complete clean slate for everyone.

 

 

 

And as for the Fate of BSC,

 

 

 

If it has really come down to the need for BSC to be returned to the ashes it was made from so be it, BSC has served it's purpose, it has brought people together, gave conversations when you're RC'ING, or Wc'ing at a god forsaken place. It has made friendships, and it has been a great chat, so if no one can find a suitable owner, then maybe we need to move on. (Btw, if I may say so, ForsakenMage's chat is hot. :P )

i don't know about the drama. but if you spam you'll be kicked, simple as that. i don't care if your are a regular, or a new guy. if you were a gen or a former gen and spam, i'll kick you if i can, or tell th3 about it. the rules are the rules. i don't care what sentry did, but i am a hell of a lot more strict than he ever has been. i don't care if sentry gets demodded, if that's the solution you guys want, i'm all for it. but when i kick you, you deserve to be kicked. simple as that. i trust the other gens are the same way. SPAM = BAD. seriously, stop being stupid about it and rebelling. if you broke the rules, you got punished. it is as simple as that. as for a resolution, SUCK IT UP DAMNIT. you'd be out of the chat for 1 hour unless you got yourself banned, which is your own fault. seriously, drop the crap and get over yourselves.

Sorry to the double post but to answer Zuper's post, but the reason some many people are being banned is because Sentry kicks people for no reason and hes telling Crusader to ban people who don't deserve it.

Look, I've tried to discuss the issue between Crusader and Kota. There Is basically no compromise to it. This Topic here is basically Personal between Kota and Crusader.

 

 

 

Currently There will be Two Chats, so that Bsc Is split. Bsc was split because of Misunderstandings.. Spam.. And the Dislike of Blogworld.

I at least would have expected you to try and talk this out? There has to be no glory, fun is what we play for. About the friends you lost, in my case, I feel I'm not to blame. Everything can be fixed by the way, sometimes you just have to try harder then expected ...

All I've noticed is the apparent loss of "fun" chatting.. A little spam isn't so bad, but what I've seen is overreaction. Bsc isn't very fun to chat in now.

I dont know how much my word means as im new to bsc anyways... but i dont see why sentry should be de-modded... He was in line, people were spamming and the chat was moving 1000mph... May have went about dealing with it the wrong way but i dont think the spam should be aloud.

It's not personal between kota and th3, it involves alot more people...

 

 

 

Anyway, just letting the 2 chats live next to each other and everyone deciding which one he'd rather use will most likely be the best solution. But in that case i think everyone should be able to use both chats(unless they've done something very wrong in one of them and deserve a ban or w/e).

Yes hobo. Bsc use to be great fun to chat in now it is full of "lurkers" and people are scared to say anything due to being reported, lep is a great demonstration for that. i was also muted for 2 days. just everything it has lost it's... pzaaaaa!? I do not know what happened today but it sounds like you guys have pushed crusader to his end. If you say something like he hasn't tried hard enough shut you're darn trap. that's all he's done this past week has ironed out bsc's problems i have probably seen him on blogworld than crusader for all this junk that should'nt be happening. I would love if it was'nt closed down but tbh crusader sounds like he is just battleworn and cannot put up with this garbage for much longer...And as for you guys flaming about power hungry mods. That is complete BS. 1st Sentry is one of the best darn Generals out in blogscape. he is strict as should all the other gens be when you have a chat that has gone through alot within the month and a leader who is to tuckered to do anything you need action.
