Why is it worth the time? Pures and Skillers

Featured Replies

Several Reasons:

1. It gives a personal goal to achieve, and achieving goals makes people feel good about themselves.

2. It raises your total level, which, again, having a higher total level puts you up higher in the ranks and therefore you feel good about it.

3. Some skills go up to level 99 in abilities so they are worth it to train that high.

4. Getting that wonderful, coveted Skill Cape.

5. And finally, there is ALWAYS the chance Jagex may release higher abilities to those skills which stop at lower levels (like Herblore and Farming at Level 85). This means if you've got that high level already when they release these new items or abilities, you have the chance of making some big bucks. Like Slayer. When they release the 95 Slayer monster and it's rare drop, those with 95 will have the chance to make some really nice, probably very easy cash.

I don't think you read the initial post.. or really understand what this thread is about..

OT:

I despise any pures or "skillers". No exceptions, not even if it was my best friend or my mother.

"Skillers":

Take a break from the game if you're bored. Doing the SAME EXACT THINGS YOU'RE BORED FROM but at a lower level does not cure boredom, it just temporarily prolongs it. Doing them with lesser combats doesn't make it any better. Please, stop.

"Pures":

There's no point in slandering these pitiful creatures unless Jagex comes out with a 1vs1 minigame kind of like how the old wilderness was set up where you could take advantage of the combat level limitations. But yes, stop.

Man, I really do love Runescape, and I'm sure if it was a real person I would of asked it to marry me by now.

A level 3 skiller, while a level 3 has typically bad stats, you'll look them up and they have several 99s, they're the exact opposite of what they're supposed to be, it's poetic, it's special, that's why people do it.

But the achievement is only special if the pure/skiller is complete or on the good path to completion. There's nothing interesting about haftbaked pures dropped haftway through the process.

I couldn't have put it any better myself. Very well articulated, my friend. :D

I made this account because of my friend Sunny Earth. He is a Skiller with five 99 skills. I liked the idea of just working towards a goal and completing something not many others could, such as being a level 3 and getting to a very high level in something else, or getting a 99 in something. Right now I'm working towards 99 Woodcutting, and I have made a lot of friends in the process. ::'

So, basically Earthysun is Jesus's only son.

I'm level 122, with 113/4 f2p (not sure) and I'm in the middle of my crater. This normally would give me a fair shot, but I have heavily unbalanced combat stats, which make me a pretty bad bh'er. If I made a pure, it would be effectively giving me another chance to be good at bh, without grinding long hours/money training. Yes I will get those levels on my main eventually, but until then...

I think it's because people run out of things to do on their main accounts. They probably realise that their combat/skiller pure will get boring aswell, but don't regret until they've actually got to that stage.

Why does everyone think "skiller" means a level 3? I consider myself a skiller, and I'm level 115.

and its fun to get to know other people on your skiller...
Thats what I do :) I make some skillers & its good to talk & meet other people since my Main's list has been full for 4 years :lol: Its nice to play & going for different skills to do different ways than my Main. I'm currently working on a lvl 3 F2P Skiller :D
