i heard it is bad to wear it at gwd but i am wondering if it is bad to wear it while fire waving steel drags? if i wasnt gonna wear it i would wear ring of life or beacon ring

How can a ring thats suppose to increase your chances of getting a rare be bad :shock:

When killing/slaying monsters I will always wear a ring of wealth unless I'm afraid that there is a chance that I might die. It will improve your monster drops and very quicly pay for itself.

I wear a ring of wealth at monsters that drop rune items. Don't wear wealth at monsters that drop dragon items(excluding the shield half).

There are so many things circulating around how RoW wealth works

 

 

 

The one that makes most sense is the roulette wheel thing and if you land on the "slot" for a rare item, it increases the chance that its a better item.

 

 

 

Other people claim it only increases rune item drops there for decreasing dragon drops at drags

 

 

 

People claim with lootshare it messes everything up, (this actually may make sense) and you get less chance at rare drop (ie GWD BOsses).

 

 

 

 

 

I personnaly use A wealth at metals when i did them for tasks

 

 

 

I killed maybe 600-1000 metals total and got 3 skirts 0 legs 0 visage

In my experience you get more charms with a ROW, and rare drops at steels don't hurt either.

I never got any rare drops with my row. I just recently sold it permently and I get a dk drop every trip, and more frequent slayer drops.

RoW only helps with rune drops, so I'd say no. In fact it decreases your chance of getting a dragon drop.

i have trained with and with out ring- i can say my dropps were same with and with out- i have never noticed a diffrence weather or not im wearing ring. so i say probally with out ring

i dont use it. it has never helped me in any way. it is all luck. if your going to get a drop your going to get it. explorer ring(3) ftw

Ring of Wealth increases your odds of getting a rare drop. Dragon drops are considered rare. Therefore you have a better chance of getting a dragon item.

 

 

 

If it's between wealth, life, and beacon, I would go with the wealth. If you're maging, the danger should be relatively low so long as you have a sturdy connection and you pay attention, so you should increase your odds of getting that visage/d legs/d skirt. If your connection is shakier though, ring of life is probably a better choice in case you disconnect. Beacon ring's bonus is too small to make as much a difference as the others.

I don't get how this rumor spread, RoW does not only effect rune drops, like who thought that one out? Kinda brainless if you ask me ;) Anyways, i use it everytime, i became a firm believer when a clan mate who soloed the Sara boss, did 505 solo kills. The entire time he used a ring of life, like 9 sara swords, but not a single hilt. Then, out of no thought, brought a RoW, after only 2 kills, he got a Sara Hilt. And the first kill was really good too (i forgot what it was). Should you need evidence, he has made a kill log on the RSOF. Just search "Lord Bane X".

when I use my berserker ring I get around 7 dragon boots from mages while when used ROW I got only 3 :) maybe it brings me bad luck

Ultimately, its up to you, but honestly, I've never noticed the RoW making a difference in my drops... Except that one time at the fire giants when I got fewer rune drops with RoW than I did when wearing a ring of life. Who knows, maybe I just have bad luck..

it doesnt raise the drop rate of rune items it makes rare items have a better chance at droping them. the rune drop rate is just a rumor.
