The reason why I discouraged a Rank Contest for this idea is simply because of the amount of complaints the Staff have gotten in the past. I mean if we DON'T involve art, writing, etc. in the Rank Contests, the Staff will quickly run out of ideas if they haven't already.

 

It would sit fine with me if The Gallery could actually face the possible hundreds of smileys that would be received from a publicly announced contest, versus only about 70-120 from The Gallery.

As far as new types of smiles, it doesn't matter.

 

 

 

However, I say we should just revert back to the phpbb2 smilies. Alot of the custom smiles included match those, and I think most preferred their look.

 

 

 

Less hassle on staff that way too, than going thru the trouble of creating their own.

I'd like Tip.It to have its own customised smilies.

 

 

 

I don't want to have like 400 on offer though, and have those really big complicated long animated ones, they just look stupid.

 

 

 

If they could all have the same colour scheme, that would be cool.

This has recently (two minutes ago) come to my attention: WE ARE LACKING IN w00t! SMILIES!!!!!! There is no :woot:, :woot!:, w00t:, or :w00t!: smiley!! GASP! Someone must make one or multiple ones!

We can maybe just create a thread for submitting smileys, like before. The user will get the joy of the smiley being there, to use.
