Animal Crossing: City Folk.

This game looks great from what little I've seen. I can't find that much information on it, but I do know it's slated for release November 16th here in the States. Should be great, looks like the perfect cross between Wild World and the original, with some fancylike new features. Also, all the good holidays are back! ^_^ Plus free downloadables. This will be great.

Oh my god. That brings back so many memories. When I was younger my mom and I used to play the original. That was such a fun game also because I had friends that I could visit their town and such.

I heard that it's pretty much the same as the gc version and the city is pretty small. I'd be kinda disappointed if the latter were true, but still worth a buy.

I havn't played any Animal Crossing games yet but this looks to be the only exciting wii game coming out besides warioland and dead rising. I'll probably get it and try it out.

i had a few hundred apple/pear trees covering my town which i picked for money. apples and pears were the rare fruit in my town.

 

 

 

i eventually got enough money to fully upgrade my house and had 15-20 bags of 90k (was this the max? i dont remember what it was, but the bags were the biggest they could get) lying around my house.

I remember that right before I paid for the last upgrade of my house, I discovered the codes you could give to Nook for like 10,000 bells every time, 3 times an hour. Boy oh boy, I had fun with that.

Looks nice; but from what we've seen so far there's not many large additions and improvements from the DS and other versions. Hopefully there's more to the game than what we have learned so far otherwise I may have to give it a miss.

I doubt i'll buy it because i don't have the time to play that kind of game unless it's on a handheld console, i'm weird like that.

 

Looks good though, i wonder if it will have DS connections.

To the DS connections, supposedly it will connect even with GameCube games on memory cards, updating them for this. So certainly WW will be connectable somehow.

It might be all right...I might rent it and then see if I should buy it, because some of the Animal Crossing games I like, and some I hate...

I think there's only two in Japan too, just that the original is on the N64.

 

 

 

I've not heard anything about connection with the GC, but I know you can can link up to the NDS version and migrate characters, catalogs and possessions back and forth between the Wii and DS. Yep, you're gonna have someone transferring all 1,300-odd items just to be the first to complete their AC:CW catalog. :P

On my Gamecube version I was missing two or three things, but I can't remember what. I haven't ploayed it in forever, and when we moved I lost that memory card.

 

 

 

I don't even have a DS though, and I know how insane that would be. :P

Hmm... presume you can take 25 items across (if you include presents attached to letters which are detached later), that's only about 52 runs. Do about 10 a day, it would only take a week.

I just hope it comes sooner rather than later anyway. I'm running out of things to do on my DS version. :?

I read that it comes out November 20th or thereabouts for us. I'd expect soon after, if not that day, for you guys.
