Two things:

 

 

 

1) Is it more dangerous than the Slayer Tower?

 

2) Do they drop more charms than in the ST?

1) No, unless you attack them all at the same time.

If you click on the portal, you'll get fried by a bronze dragon.....so yeah, it is dangerous

If you have a DFS, theres no added risk compared to the slayer tower ones.

 

As far as I can tell, their charm drop rate isnt any different from the ones in the tower.

 

 

 

I personally like the ones in tunnels better because they are closer together and its usually not too hard to find a world all for yourself.

Ok thanks, someone in my clan mentioned the crimson rate was higher in CT but I wanted to check first.

afaik the only monster with a better charm rate in Ct is black demons, they drop lots of crim there but hardly any in teh rest of the world. I've bursted nechs in CT and meleed them in the tower and i never noticed any difference in any drops.

Not true. I go through the nechs to get to the room where the Bronze Dragons and Earth Warriors are, and I have never one got hit, even when they are facing me at the norther point of their "limits".

I think he's talking about the room east of the nechs. There's a bronze dragon and fire elementals or something.

Not true. Many other monsters like Dagannoths, Ice trolls (I think...), and a couple more are affected. Although some monsters seem to be unchanged, like Nechs.

I can confirm that the charm rate for nechs is unchanged in the CT. If you have a slayer mask and ring, it's probably quicker to use the slayer tower for them, plus there's no worry about the bronze dragon. I HAVE been attacked by the one in the earth warrior room on my way to Bork.

No and Yes. They're really wonderful to kill in there. Bring a Bunyip/Unicorn Stallion, two Super Attacks/Strengths, and some Sharkies/Guthans, and you're on your way =). I can do 195 of them without banking.

I've got really conflicting views here on whether they drop better crimsons than the ones in the Slayer Tower. Surely it would be clear cut if there was a major difference, as seen with Black Demons? I really would like a correct answer 'cos Crimson charms s one of the main reasons I slay nowadays. :P

I've done several tasks in the chaos tunnels testing out fighting familiars, and several tasks ranging in the slayer tower because there's a safespot there and I want ranged exp. It's the same.

Tunnels > Tower.

I tested them as well. It's the same really. Just a matter of preference and whether or not you're using a fighting familiar.

Never follow rumours. They are the same.

The reason people assume it's better is because black demons and other monsters are better. They think that, logically, if some monsters are better, they all must be better. But they're wrong. :P
