September 13, 200817 yr Two questions really. Is swiftkit safe and is it allowed by Jagex rules? All opinions are welcome but could you only answer if you have personal experience of the program :) Thanks in advance. :D
September 13, 200817 yr It's fine to use but I wouldn't bother using it, Jagex don't reccommend using it though, but they don't support anything. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
September 13, 200817 yr swiftkit is legal, and safe, but make sure you download it from (or a link from) the official site. Scan everything once you download it anyway, I've found viruses in programs that i would never guess would be infected. A very good habit. Unless Tip.It changed their rules since I last left, I think talking about 3rd party programs isn't allowed so this might get locked ;) A Draconic Guide V1.4, Fimer - Multi-Timer Farming Timer V3.Dragon Boots: 39|Abyssal Whips: 16|Dark Bows: 1|
September 13, 200817 yr Author Thank you for your help guys, sorry if I broke forum rules mods, feel free to lock the topic :)
September 13, 200817 yr Swiftkit. Is. Awesome. It's safe and definantly not against the rules. It stopped working on my computer though :( 26,974th person to get 85 mining on September 20th, 2008Try Ferion, it only takes a few minutes per day; you can play it while mining.
September 13, 200817 yr Its safe, nothing special unless your looking to take screens without printscreening and then pasting, thats one huge convinience, and the new music player, but with musicmonkey or winamp you dont really need that. I have it, but i rarley use it. Swiftswitch was changed to Swiftkit, because of rule changes by Jagex, swiftkit was made so that it was legal with Jagex and their rules. Jagex dosent reccomend it obviously, because its a third party programme, which could contain spyware, scripts, loggers etc.
September 13, 200817 yr Swiftkit is legal and safe, but mIRC + RS client is much better. Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool
September 13, 200817 yr lol, swiftkit is decent, is allowed but not recommended, and I just use chatzilla w/ runescape w/ pandora radio. Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
September 13, 200817 yr Yeah it's safe and allowed. Jagex can't dicate what you use to access there game anyway and I think they realised that. Third party software is REQUIRED to play Runescape as it runs with Java. So IE, Firefox, Opera, Chrome etc. etc. are all third party software. The reason they got so narked with SwiftSwitch was because it could be used to switch worlds and also block adverts. Obviously these things are not in Jagex's interests so they made them illegal, then back tracked pretty sharpish but added some clarity. If it came to court (which it never would) Jagex wouldn't have a leg to stand on. If they want to dicate what you use to play the game then they need to make it a [Caution: Executable File] not in Java. The whole point of Java is so it can be used on various platforms.
