As for the 99, go for 99 RC :D You'll make money off that (I think pess is still less than nats at least). You might have to buy what ess you can, then craft, sell, buy more ess, but you should make a profit. No doubt after 91.

Kietaro1
Well under no circumstance should you cook trout for 99. Attack would be a good first 99 but if speed is what you are going for I would reccomend the following: Complete Royal Trouble/Throne of Misc. and at least start Fairy Tale Part 2 (for fairy rings) Invest in your kingdom for a month. 10 on fish/5 on flax (or whatever is best money maker). Do not withdraw. While managing your Kingdom, train slayer for extra cash to invest. If money becomes an issure cash you kingdom out and sell the money maker you are investing alongside fish. At the end of the month you will have 18750 flax, 13204 tuna, and 3959 Swordfish. Sell the flax and any of the bonus items you do not want (this will effectively double you money at least). Cook the tuna, then the swordies (perferably with the gauntlets), then sell every fish you have. Then use your money to buy shark and cook them from level 94 on. You should make a pretty nice profit and still manage a 99. I did this and made 3m off of my 99 cooking. Now I am using the logs that I gathered at the same time for 99 fire making. Should take you about a month and a half but you can level combat while waiting (I did slayer for the mask) but that is up to you. Good luck. cat666
If your wrist hurts then I would stop that sort of activity, it can make you blind! 99 cooking or fletching will be your best bet. Cooking use gauntlets then lobsters/sharks. Fletching buy yews and bow string. Fletch logs, then attach then sell to alchers. I made a fair bit doing this, but this was long before the GE so may not be a profit anymore. Trust the Gene Genie!

purewcnub
I would reccomend getting a 99 in a profitable skill, then you will be able to get even more 99's. I suggest fishing or woodcutting, something along those lines. Goals: 94 magic94 ranged55 slayerAddy gloves-done
Ouchy
This might sound like terrible advice, but it makes sense. Don't go for a 99 that others suggest. Go for one that you enjoy, or could use later on. There is no point in going for 99 Mining, or Smithing, or whatever, if you absolutely hate it. You will be far more likely to burn out/give up that way. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. But, there are some exceptions, like hunter, I hate hunter, but the money from red chinchompas is insane. some other things can attract you to a skill your previously didn't like. UnknownRemoval
Isn't cooking trout profitable? I checked yesterday and raw maximum was 31gp, while cooked minimum was 31gp. Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
Cptbaker08
You can also alternate between 2 of them. Could try for fishing/cooking by getting a "x" amount of fish and cooking them, go slaying and raise attack and when you low on fish go fish/cook more. But do whatever you really want to do. Also you can make a little profit off of fishing raw monks, selling them raw and buying them cooked. Still get food to use and a little more cash. Tim_Finch
Don't cook trout. Cooked trout is virtually impossible to sell, and it'll be terribly slow. If you want 99 cooking, I'd recommend Kietaro's suggestion, that way you could work towards both 99 cooking and 99 attack through slayer. You would make money from both, and it would be pretty easy (combat isn't nearly as repetitive as other skills, much lower chance of a burnout). Cromeus
If you gain 14m cooking experience from cooking tunas... At current prices, you'll lose 2.1m. For cooking 140,000 tunas. Cooking is quite easily the cheapest. It'll also take under 100 hours, using the bank+fire spot.

Soccerdudety
No, I've narrowed it down to these 2. These are going to be my #1 and #2 99's. Just asking which would be better to get. I liked the guy's suggestion to do both at 1 time, just alternate or whatever, i'll think about that. MY RUNESCAPE GOALS
Commandr_die
so i'm going for 99 defence myself, and i have found that combat is so much more entertaining than a skill like cooking. also, it seems to me that combat is more useful in the long run as well :P. but honestly, choose whatever you feel like. What.
