RayOxide Posted September 24, 2008 Share Posted September 24, 2008 Weelll I'm level 96, 90 without summon, and 72 all melee stats, and just wondering which set i should buy? I dont think i'd need guthans for slayer much cause its only 59. But I dont like the danger of being so low hp to hit high.. With guthans, not only do you get excellent defence, it heals you, preventing you from needing food, essentially making you undamagable which is something no other armor can even get close to (I'm talking about training not bosses here). Logically guthan's appears to be the 'best armor' unless you bring up str bonus, its obvious then to only use guthan when you require healing. Dharok is usefull in so few situations where there is easy access to an altar that it's pretty much useless unless you plan on training on apes (I suppose you could do wearwolves if you have an altar and canafis portal in your house). I'm currently camping at ankous with guthans and loving it. I'd say to keep saving money til you can afford bandos top and get that when you can. Torag's and Dharok's legs are the same, Verac's is only slightly different from those two. Look it up. The only thing lower def about Dharok's is the helmet. However my point stands for all of the others who think Torag's plate and legs (the most used parts) are higher defense than any other Barrows armors. OH S***! He/she/it is back! sup3rpur Posted September 25, 2008 Share Posted September 25, 2008 meh i was always lead to believe that, dont matter i dont use barrows anyways. mind you now, its cheaper than the rest so its better anyways and to answer why they are overrated. guthans is useless, you get less xp per hour than you would with a whip/rune defender with food/bunyip dh is slow, its fun sometimes, but its just slow xp in general the fastest xp in the game is whip + rune defender, not godsword, not guthans.
