im currently at 35 slayer, been lvling it and high alching for another goal of mine (66 mage requirement for swan song ftl)

btw, let me explain WHY i want 52 summoning so badly.

 

 

 

its because i want to lvl to 62 prayer. i plan on doing green dragons until i have 1.2k dragon bones, which will be enuff with gilded altar. from what i've read, it seems a decent prayer is extremely necessary for good slaying. also, the dhides would help me purchase full guthans/ get to 66 summoining for bunyips.

If you're doing it for Prayer then there's even less reason to not just settle for a bull ant. Getting only 40 summoning would save you a lot of time and money which will allow you to level up prayer just as fast or faster than with a terrorbird. And if you want to go all the way to 68 summoning (you need 68 for a bunyip, not 66) you should level up your stats and do waterfiends.

You shouldnt forget terrorbird only holds 3 more items than a bullant. And there's 12 levels the difference there. :) . and while leveling you could buy and use thorny snails, I think they hold 3/6 lmao.

I would do black demons in the choas tunnels. i do not belive you need a slayer lvl for them jst prayer protect form melle there drops will cover the cost. \

Grimy guams, ashes, 70gp, ashes, grimy marrentil, ashes.. That doesnt cover the cost of a quarter of a dose of prayer pot man. And they dont drop many charms either.

They dont drop anything decent often enough to cover the loss of anything, and I honestly dont think they drop crimsons that much. If they did I'd be at Edge dungeon safe-ranging them all day to be honest. :|

I never sad it was every kill but in a task of about 150 blacks i get about 2 rune chains and it does cover my prayer pots. If it does not only minimal cost. They also drop better hebs than guam herbs that they drop. i get more crimsons than i do at dusties there.

Okay, since he isnt going to look back, trust me, black demons arent even good money, let alone good for crimsons. And plus, p pots are more expensive than his lying says :roll:

i did slayer for 2 days, and got to 46. Slayer is fun and all, but i decided to take a break when i got a 2nd harpie bug task in a row from vanakka.

 

 

 

instead of doing slayer, i tried cockroach soldiers and with the same amount of monkfish spent at greaters, i got the same amount of crimsons (15).

 

 

 

HOWEVER, i also got 3 rune scimitars. yes 3, no joke. So honestly, cockroach soldiers are far far better to waste prayer pots/food/ time on than greater demons.

 

 

 

i think ill farm about 100 crimsons from these guys before resuming slayer. I'd keep doing slayer until i get about another 100 crimsons, which will be enough to get me from 1-52 summoning (of course i'd also be using every single one of my other charms-the greens, gold, and maybe even blue along the crimsons).

if you're stung because i'm not taking your advice, then you're wrong on two levels.

 

 

 

1. i've been taking your advice for 2 straight days and will continue to slay

 

2. you shouldn't get so personal when someone decides to deviate from what you consider the best method.

 

 

 

in no way do i think slayer is not the most efficient manner for going back gathering charms due the fact that it levels combat, slayer, summoning, gives u points, some money all at the same time.

 

 

 

but for my own personal reasons, i want to put summoning on a SLIGHTLY higher priority right now. that's why im gonna spend a DAY here to gather some crimsons.

Sorry if I sound hostile, you're the 100th person to tell me that. I'm really not taking this personally (why would I?) it's just that I can be blunt sometimes as it is much easier to help people that way.

Glad to see you've got it all figured out just about. Just want to point out that Black Demons are pretty good crimson charm droppers, but only in the Chaos Tunnels. Anywhere else and they hardly drop charms at all. Good luck with getting 52 Summoning. :thumbsup:

Black Demons are good. I get a fair amoutn of rune chains which pay for prayer pots. You can range them in the Chaos Tunnels so prayer isn't an issue.

No they are great XP and you do break even or profit 9/10. Maybe your stats are not great enough to kill them effectivley, but they are a decent source of combat and slayer XP and worth the few extra pennies if you have them as a task.

 

 

 

Admitedly I wouldn't advise meleeing them for crimsons, but they are great for slayer.

153 hp per black demon i think it is = 600+ melee per kill x200 = 120k exp an hour? lol tough luck thats an extreme exaggeration.
