ilya
What's with Diablo III coming out in what should be the next half a year or so, and me buying Diablo II, I decided to create this thread :) I played the games in the early 2001, beating both of them (no expansions) and after launching the Second one just now (after 15 hours of trying to get it to work, including installing XP on my Vista computer) And seeing the start-up screen I got such a great feeling of nausalgia :)). The Games have been truly great and I distantly remember how scary and tense the game could get :o Never played online though, but looking forward to doing that after beating the Signle-Player. Me: Just created a barbarian (level 2, woot woot) and did the first quest, the game still got it! FRESH MEAT :ugeek:

Caxis
I used to play waaaay back when 1.08 was the main patch. That account got banned because of map hack, which I forgot to turn off when I went online. Since then, I never could get back into the game =\... Why did you have that maphack in the first place? maphack is what made diablo 2 suck. Not because you couldn't do anything about it, but there was just too many people using it

I just used it in single player, and then went online to do some trading without shutting it off D:...

BlueLancer
D1 and D2 are amongst the best games I've played. Especially the atmosphere/music in the original Diablo is fantastic, it's multiplayer mode is long dead though (not surprising given it was launched on battle.net 11 years ago) Absolutely looking forwards to D3, even though the colour scheme seems a bit flashy, colorful/WoW'like... Heck, the screens/gameplay vids they've given out were of a pre-beta build. Things will probably get much darker in the deeper hell dungeons. J a m e s
I didn't play the first Diablo game much due to the fact I had got into the games just after lord of destruction came out (some of the earliest patches, way before they nerfed Hell cow level to oblivion). In Diablo II however, I had a 99 sorceress and 99 amazon. I remember frozen orb + that lightning nova on my sorc and the lightning javelin with infinite ammo on my amazon OWNED face. noobs crowding hill giants? not on my watch

I think color is a good thing, and blizzard certainly does know enough about how to do that.

JeremyM
to me, online got so boring - you just keep doing the same things to level up pretty much. whenever i played it was just my friend and i doing hardcore characters together. Pkmastachaos
Just started up playing Diablo II again recently after a three+ year break. It's kinda fun, but it's really irritating me that I don't have the gear I once had, trying to do mf runs and collect perfect gems to work my way up is a pain. The joys of being a noob. ;) Account name is LordXavier if anyone wants to add me.
baalboy5
I personally am a sorc fan, my account got deleted I bet since I stoped playing in July. But I had a fire and light sorc. Man did I love my sorc, did a good 42k dmg and my merc owned Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob. People in OT eat glass when they are bored.

Caxis
Quick question, is there anyway to run D2 or D2:LOD in windowed mode? Thanks (Tried alt + enter) Yes. Right click the shortcut (If you created one, if not just create a shortcut of Diablo II[Caution: Executable File]) and go to properties. Under properties, you should see this; Target: "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II[Caution: Executable File]" What you want to do is change it to this; "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II[Caution: Executable File]" -W Make sure you put a space before the -W and make the W capital.
