This is what really threw me off RuneScape and I stopped playing for some time after that happened...

 

 

 

K. I was like a lvl 78 back then (81 now) and I hadn't died in a long time and beat really hard quests like Fight Pits and some other Quest I can't remember, but it had a hard Boss in the end... Well I pwned those bosses and was like... I CAN PWN EVERYTHING!!!1! :twisted: So I was like talking to my lvl 100 friend on RS and was like, u know what, I'm feeling adventureous and I'm gonna pwn anyways so Ima take on the Barrows and it'll be a piece of cake for me... (Yeah, I know better now...)

 

 

 

Anyways, I put on my Shiny D-Armour and a granite body, Dragon Boots, Obsiadian Cape, Obby Shield and whatnot valuable Items. So, my friend tries to talk me out of it but I would not listen to him.. Well I went to Morytania, Morton... Barrows.. So I go to Dharoks Hill and dig my way into the Tomb...

 

 

 

First impression was like, woah its nice in here... So then I walk up to the tomb and search it and Dharok begins to attack me. He wasn't hitting much at first (my friend told me that he hits harder when he gets weaker, but told me during the fight..) So I pretty much dominate Dharok at first but the tables turned around pretty quickly.. All of a sudden he hits a 40 on me :-# :ohnoes: So I eat and eat and decide that I may end up buried in the same tomb as Dharok so I decide to leave.... but too late :-#

 

 

 

Well, I ended up dead and tried to get my stuff back but my gravestone was gone when I got there again... lost my granite body, dragon plateskirt, glory ammy... obby cape...... and other valuable stuff... like 1mil in total maybe #-o

 

 

 

So, yeah thats concludes my rant about misjudging urself when u did some hard quests and think you pwn... There's always someone stronger than you.

I guess I've never experienced this, I always underestimate boss monsters. Probably because I always read some info on them first. I'd highly advise that :P

You learn from your mistakes :P But I can see that it frustrated you a lot. I'd say just shrug it off and continue playing and take it as a small lesson. Besides, once you get higher levels you can get 1M in a breeze.

Even the barrows are good for recovering money. Once you get the hang of it, they're fairly easy.

It's got nothing to do with you not being high lvl enough, more like you being stupid. You can do barrows, plenty of low lvls do it. But you tried to fight dharok without prayer, it doesn't matter which lvl you are at you'll die anyway, because that's stupidity, not actual lack of strength.

Dharoks attack is very inaccurate. When I do barrows, I usually do 3 chests/trip using veracs. I don't use ppots, so I can't pray while fighting dharok the 2nd and the 3rd time. It's a risk, but the chance of dieing is low. Am I stupid for taking that risk?(I've only died once there, and that was because dharok hit his max 3 times in a row when he was on 1hp.)

i was at barrows in initiate armour once in the tunnels, want paying attention and got hit a 57. luckily i killed him after that hit =P

I did. but he drains ur prayer very fast.. I used up like 3-4 Prayer Pots. Had his Health down pretty good, but he hits faster when his health gets lower

1. HE doesnt drain your prayer.

 

 

 

2. He doesnt drain it fast enough for you to run out.

 

 

 

3. He doesnt hit faster when hes lower hp.

 

 

 

4. If you're using 3-4 p pots per brother then you shouldnt be doing barrows.

You can use ancients if you don't want to use pray pots. Ancients doesn't cost too much, and gives a good number of trips.

That happened to me today but it wasnt barrows it was pvp worlds and i didnt lose as much but i got epic wtf pwnt because I was stupid and didnt bring food, pots or anything Im a lunchmeat :oops:

I feel you :( ... First thing I did when I saw that PVP came out, I banked all my items and ran around "naked" cause I thought the auto World I just logged on was PVP :ohnoes: Thank God auto Worlds just transfer you to non PVP Worlds :) Well I logged into a PVP World then and it was an epic omfg moment cause the screen was full of red dots :P And ppl fighting everywhere :lol:

i did barrows all the time at lvl 70 and i got torags legs and veracs helm so you should always have pray restore and pray on while doing dh lol he can i hit kill anything!

Being that he was wearing melee armor, and it took him 3-4 pray pots, I'm going to guess so.

Me? yea... 10 level difference didnt help much (88 me vs. 98 her) I was valiant though and hit a 17, 16, 10, and 1 with my scimitar. Then I found some cake, and ate it, hit her a little more then I got KOed. :o :oops:

When I was a member, I kicked barrows at level 89. It's not about your levels, although anyone with a low hp and mage are recommended not to attempt it, but it's the homework you do before that. I for one, never just dash into a battle. I leave that part to the poor researchers. Yes, I hate dying to monsters.
