October 23, 200817 yr Is this really supposed to take forever? I got the bronze and then iron ones fairly easy. Like within a couple minutes (50 tokens max). Then i spend a whole half hour (300 tokens, with ring of wealth) and didnt get the steel one at all! And i was getting tons of rare drops like addy maces, black 2hs, etc. but no defender! :x So is rune like impossible to get? Is it even worth it? I was going to get it for training, but this seems like a waste of resources.

October 23, 200817 yr Just buy salmon for food, get atleast 2k tokens, its not going to happen in like 30 minutes. It going to take some time, what other choice do you have for a shield slot which is as good? Nothing.
October 23, 200817 yr its totaly luck. it took me a few days to get from bronze to black, then i went from mith to rune in 10 mins, lol. btw, ring of wealth may help. October 23, 200817 yr No wonder it's taking you forever, you're not wearing a Ring of Wealth! It' helps a lot with this sort of thing. I got mine with about 1300 tokens, but the best thing to do is get 2K and go off that. Also I believe it helps to rotate around the room moving to a different cyclopse every 3 kills or so instead of killing the same one for an hour and hoping for a drop. If it negatively affects your odds to get a Defender, it's only by most likely a percent tops. If it makes you feel any better it takes a lot of people 1k+ tokens to get bronze lol. October 23, 200817 yr I got from broze to black really fast, but from black to addie took ages. I was in there for a solid 2 hour block to get my addie one, I forgot that you needed to leave in order for the next one to drop so I was in there for an hour and a half and A SECONDS ADDIE ONE DROPPED! :lol: The best part was, I still had an hours worth of tokens left so I went out and back in, got 5 rune defenders in that hour \ Check my blog, I'm retired now anyway. 61,128th to 99 Strength.
October 23, 200817 yr If it makes you feel any better it takes a lot of people 1k+ tokens to get bronze lol. Haha. Yeah, that was me. :lol: But seriously it IS worth it! Don't give up. It took me 2-3k tokens to get black but got the rest in maybe 200. Don't give up!
October 23, 200817 yr lol i don't know what's wrong with your luck but i got from bronze to 3 rune defenders in less only around 2k tokens...try to kill the higher level cyclops and remember to show your defender to the woman every time you get one of the next level...maybe my stats are slightly higher but shouldn't make much of a diff...maybe i'm just lucky \ maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it
