We have not yet released our new team based FPS game to the public for testing, but i decided to come by and offer my good friends over here at Tip.it the chance to start testing our new game Control Monger (http://www.controlmonger.com) before anyone else gets a chance.

download game here

]http://www.controlmonger.com/files/cm_install_0-35[Caution: ExecutableFile]

the download is only 33.4MB and you will need to download

Please remeber that when i say *our* i mean the gaming site i work for and not tip.it:)

This game will be free for use after testing is complete.

For anyone concerned because this is a exe download, it is virus free.

Any problems , leave a msg with us and we get back to you asap.

Ive gone to the site and read everything in the about menu.

Im gonna try this because:

1. looks beyond awsome

2. I really really need to play a FPS.

BTW so far from waht i gathered it is like a team play even in single player? and much like team fortress?

i keep trying to get in the alpha server... but it isnt working! keeps kicking me out.

HMMM... IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING PROBLEMS LOGING IN? and acan you explain exacting what happens or what error you get?

and to answer the above question about game play still... yes it is kind of like TFC

I can answer my own question! Gameplay is a lot like Team Fortress (HlafLife mod) except in ships/bots - like Descent (for those of you old enough to remember)

As you can tell, because the game isn't open for public testing it's not 100% complete - we get a sneak peak so that we can help iron out any bugs that pop up.

As for the download if fps's with a bit of a twist are you thing, give it a go... it kept me up till 2am this morning :S

And because there is only 1 or 2 servers, don't expect them to be local, so 56ker's from anywhere outside the US don't expect to be 100% lag free.

All in all, give it a go! It's free after all!

Could you post any system requirements? Right now I have no idea what to expect (can only judge based on screenshots), but I'm guessing that I won't be able to play this on my ancient Pentium 2, 350Mhz, with 256MB RAM (and a crappy graphics card to boot) ?

(waits for laughter to stop)

Since I haven't played it yet, I can't judge, but are the Khan / Lo houses like races in an MMORPG? (Elf, Human, Dwarf, whatever)

If so, will there be more of them in the final version?

hmmm i managed to get it going, but it was increadibly laggy, and from what controls i got, they are really in the oddest places. I think they should be able to be changed.

Besides that it was kinda cool, didnt know really who to kill or whatever. I uninstalled it, but i will instale it again when some bugs get worked out. Till then, id like to say its preatty good for a first game, and that it has great potential.

I agree with the controls. I don't know how many times I hit Caps Lock instead of shift when trying to change weapons, and the windows key for Ctrl.

Usually I would've but I've never actually had to use those keys while trying to run around (using aswd) so it was kind of akward. Having scroll button recognition would be nice instaed of using shift to select weapon, and perhaps right mouse button to change 'mode' / secondardy fire, which not.

When i typed something out, instead of text appearing, a horizontal white bar appeared where the text should have...

It was as if the text color was white or something.

The game seems good so far. I fell into some crevace thing under a bridge and couldn't get out so I had to kill myself

oh, something i noticed this morning.

occasionally, i run into a corner, or run into a fixed object and i'll be moved back quite a distance from where i hit.

say like i'm running around a corner, hit the wall, i'll be back far enough to see where the wall intersects with the floor at the actually corner.

dunno if you got that but i'm sure someone get's what i mean.
