Updating drivers is always one of the first suggestions. I've also seen this happen with a cheap generic mouse - in that case I would say fork out the extra $10 to get a decent one.

I play RS a bit on a system with similar stats to that (except 1.4, not 1.7GHz) No probs - What browser are you using to play? Have you fully updated windows? (windowsupdate.com) Any other strange problems with your mouse ever? or is it just the regular boring old microsoft mouse?

If you do get firefox going wtih RS (as I'm sure you'd like to) you won't have any sounds... suks huh? Best bet is play in IE.

Don't go to sites you don't want to turn up in your auto complete? :P I clear all mine (along with cookies, temp files) every now and then. Clearing it should get rid of all the sites, so you only get the ones you want to visit!

steam 1.5? steam came in to replace 1.5. These are original 1.5 servers still running on the old tech. However since my comp died, and i bought HL2 i am now playing source... which looks like a cartoon, and guns fire diff - recoil has been changed. and SMG class is terrible now... i want 1.5 ... or i play America's Army DAM that is realistic... way better then the old CS

Nicely chosen font - it suits ithe pic. It's very red - could almost do with some highlights, or blending a small amount of another colour in somewhere, in someway. I like.

If your keen on gaining weight by building muscles then lift weights - sure, going to a gym is more expensive than drinking the shakes, but you still need to exercise with those. And if you can find a job where you lug around heavy stuff, then you can get payed to lift heavy weights (and build muscle!) If any of this doesn't sound right it's cos i know nothing at all about what I'm talking about, being 6'1, and weight about 140- 145... I know i put on some weight when i was training hard out for our trip to Australia for hockey. Other than that i find it's impossible for me to put on weight. My bro on the other hand, went to the gym every 2nd day for months, and at the end weighed as much as (and was bench pressing as much as) I weigh... despite being only 5'4, and 2 years younger than me!

So true - but as an example, when will counterstrike (CS) end? the old system (1.0 through to 1.5) is over.. then 1.6 came out... then CS:Condition Zero... and now that's old and CS:Source is the latest... So far RS has only undergone 1 big transformation, RSC->RS2. I'm sure that there will be more in store down the track.

side note - controls came naturally for me... i play way too much & many fps games. scroll button would be nice tho. And I didnt have any probs with lag - even tho im quite a distance away from the server

I can answer my own question! Gameplay is a lot like Team Fortress (HlafLife mod) except in ships/bots - like Descent (for those of you old enough to remember) As you can tell, because the game isn't open for public testing it's not 100% complete - we get a sneak peak so that we can help iron out any bugs that pop up. As for the download if fps's with a bit of a twist are you thing, give it a go... it kept me up till 2am this morning :S And because there is only 1 or 2 servers, don't expect them to be local, so 56ker's from anywhere outside the US don't expect to be 100% lag free. All in all, give it a go! It's free after all!

When I play it's good old 1.5 for me... awesome stuff Playing on the only 2 servers that I know of that are still in existance... one is for regular maps, other is custom map server - good fun to be had all round.

Looks interesting, just a question - what sort of style of gameplay is it? It's fps I assume, in bots/ships (from looking at the website http://www.controlmonger.com ) but how does the game play? rush round killing things, or more tactical? a bit more info would be good before downloading (especially for any 56kers out there)

some lips for the girls, move the shoulder pad onto the shoulder a bit more (to close up that gap) and a bg - even if its just a colour gradient. I'm wanting to get doing some image of my own now... but will fail compared to the stuff I've seen in the forums

LOL :shock: gehjl I don't imagine there will be any more accidents at work (of either sort) and it sounds like you work for good people, so stick with them. Lesson learned about looking and reversing? (I know I learnt mine when almost the exactly same thing happened to me - reversing for 3 point turn, and someone doing a 3 pt turn also decided they would stop right behind me...)

First one's not bad, I agree with you on the text, it doesnt quite fit. Only criticism - seems tall, I prefer the others for their proportions. Second I like, as a suggestion for the text, try picking out the browny/green colour in the pic, and also the light yellow(orange) and see how the text looks recoloured with each of these. Using a colour already in the pic might help. This is almost my fav but... I like the text in the third, not just the sentence, like the font you've picekd for your name too. Just wondering how it looks with text fadin alternately in and out - top in, then as top fades out, bottom fades in, then fades out. This one is my fav, nice image, movement to grab the eye and interest, and text to go with it. If your seriously getting arty with stuff like this then head over to http://www.deviantart.com it's a great community of all-sorts - photographers, abstract digital artists, digital landscapers, cartoonists, animators, wallpaper artists.... plenty of mature, experienced people there who will be able to help out, and provide constructive criticism.

axeraider I can understand how your feeling, and good on you for being big enough to edit it later however: 1) IMO OHolyO's pic is better than your current sig - your curent sig is nothing special, whereas OHolyO has some good expression oin his, and it's light-hearted. 2) I believe him when he said no copying and pasting - you could count up the number of pixels on each phat, and on each mask. There are so few pixels that it wouldn't be hard (especially not if your a bit of a perfectionist like myself, and possibly OHolyO) to get it pixel perfect; all it takes is zoom and time. OHolyO: I like your pic. Like I said, light-hearted, and I particularly like the expression. Only suggestions are possibly a different font - the letters are just slightly... messy. And more contrast from the edge of the legs and shirt to the cape (or alternatively no contrast for shirt/cape). Something like darkening the centre of the cape (a little bit of shadow) and lightening the legs edge might make me give it higher than 9/10 Great first pic!
