October 24, 200817 yr with my stats, what would be the fastest way to get gold charms? ankous give about 30 or so a trip which is nothing really. i used to camp the ghouls and get maybe 30 an hour. are there alternatives?

October 24, 200817 yr Author most cost effective use of gold charms until level 40 is granite crab. i'm about 500 charms short of getting to 40.

October 24, 200817 yr I normally go to fire giants in the chaos tunnels with guthans but because of your stats go to the fire giants in waterfall place. I'm pretty sure fire giants are best for golds. 99 Strength Achieved 26/9/08. L0L in 3 years I've made 7m. In the past 2 days I've made 7.2m on top of that thanks to Bounty Hunter. So why play for 3 years when you can do that?
October 24, 200817 yr Don't hunt for gold charms. Just train slay till you have the charms for your desired level.
October 24, 200817 yr Fire Giants are great. Hellhounds are too. If you are a ranger I would do Hellhounds, the clue scrolls will make you money. Trust the Gene Genie!

October 24, 200817 yr Yeah. I had a fire giant task of 100 and got around 70 gold charms. Not to mention the rune arrows and prayer xp.

October 24, 200817 yr Fire Giants by far are the best gold charm droppers. I'd say Hellhounds are as they drop almost every kill. Trouble is killing them as most people who farm gold charms are lower levelled. The higher levels farm crimsons. Trust the Gene Genie!

From experience Hellhounds drop golds at about the same regularity as fire giants, but fire giants are a fraction easier and a teensy bit (6hp less) quicker to kill. I would go for fire giants, although I do agree with the posts that say do slayer. You'll get better charms in the long haul.
October 24, 200817 yr A few things- Do not farm ANY charm until around level 70 Gold charms are horrible to farm unless you are just trying to get yourself some BoB's If you really want to farm golds even after all this do fire giants in the smoke dungeon from DT
