FrostyGrunt
I want to get 99 Cooking after I reach my goal of 99 Fishing, and here's what I understand as the best cost/speed method. Lobs to 90 ---> Monks to 94 ---> Sharks to 99. But I was wondering if Swordfish made any noticable difference in the XP or GP return rate? I would think Swordfish sell better in F2P so I'm worried I'll have a harder time selling more cooked lobs than I would if I used Swordfish from 81 to 90 instead of just Lobs to 90. Any advice or just speculation is appreciated, and for the record yes I have Cooking Gauntlets. =] -Recipient of Lesser Demon Champion Scroll
killerbeer0
Well if you don't mind using a campfire the rogues den bank is the best place to do it by far. Cooking guild (if you can bank in it) is a close second. OH S***! He/she/it is back!
FrostyGrunt
Why is the Rogue's Den so special? -Recipient of Lesser Demon Champion Scroll
Vulxai
Why is the Rogue's Den so special? The bank (it's actually one of those guy's that walk around banks) walks around right by a log fire, it's very close. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
FrostyGrunt
Oh sweet. =] I've only been down there once and never noticed it. [stupid question alert!] So the log fire is constant right, not like log fires made by players? -Recipient of Lesser Demon Champion Scroll

deletemeplease
When I checked the prices, about three weeks ago, I found this. ( You should re-check it ) Lobsters to 99 loss: 5.3M Swordfish to 99 loss: 4.5M Let's see, less loss, more xp, I highly recommend changing those lobsters to swordfish, but the others fish look like good levels to cook them at. EDIT --- As for the fire there. Keep in mind it is rumored that you burn more when cooking in afire, as to cooking on a range.

That's correct, that's why if you go to the Rogue's Den, bring cooking guantlets, and don't cook the fish until you reached it's level (68 for lobs, 81 for swordies, 94 for sharks). ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~

Common way is/was lobsters til 94 then sharks to 99. Lobsters slow down levels 90+ but once you hit 94, the sharks make the last few levels a breeze. This way you know 100% amounts required and the profit/loss you will make. Monkfish are also popular however you still burn these, even at 99 so you won't ever be able to know exactly how much more you need to cook. I would start cooking ASAP, whilst PVPis still semi-popular. Trust the Gene Genie!

Just go to the calc, figure out how many lobs til 81, then write that number down, where it says experience, just type in the experience you would have at 81 (it tells you right next to the target: 81), then type in to 94, write that number of swordies down, then do the same with sharks. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~

BiJay
Common way is/was lobsters til 94 then sharks to 99. Meh, I really don't understand why people cook lobsters in the 80s and 90s. Swordfishs are faster and more cost efficient. I did 99 cooking in 10 days without cooking any lobster and spent less than 3m! [404] Signature not found. I ran some calculations and got that swordies lose about the same (I think when I did it about a week ago, it was exactly the same) as lobsters, but go faster. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
