Vetrans parade and festivaties

Featured Replies

How about tip.it posting a vetrans parade? and maybe so games :?:

Again like your other suggestion, it's just elitist, which really has no worth here, the older members are no different from the newer ones.

I do agree, yet again. If someone is a veteran, they'll have a reward of being well-known and respected.

That's being ignorant.

To be honest handing out certain things to those that have been here from 2005/2004 and such isn't that bad of an idea, as long as those items handed out can't be used to say 'I'm better than you'. Most people just think that handing stuff out would lead to this, and it generally does, but I'll leave the deep thinking to the rest of Tip.It on how to get around the issue of 'elitist attitudes'.

How am I being ignorant?

A person registered on Tip.It for six months is no different than someone who's registered for four years. Tip.It isn't a social scale. You can't determine someone's traits and worth based on how long they've belonged to a fansite forum.

Sure, we could, but what would it achieve? Like Pyromancer said, there is no difference in someone joining a month ago, to someone joining two years ago.

Killerred makes an import point too. Look at Nadril. He has been around for ages, and people know and respect him.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

That wouldn't do anything for the community whole, it would just fill a few people's egos. I'm sure the effort involved in organizing something like this is not worth that.

I agree with this. There is simply no good or productive reason.

No. It's better just to be respected.

Well, there aren't a lot of war veterans around Tip.it. Unless you mean throwing a parade for them, then you can go over to the TET topic and suggest it?

Well I might but.....

A parade for 'Nam Vets, on Tip.it... You do realise that Vietnam was in the 60's, right?

The oldest person on this forum is probably in their fourties.

Now I'm [bleep] confused.

I think he's suggesting a TET event.

anyway, there's a sticky for TET event ideas, maybe you could post this idea there?

Just be specific as to what you mean, and give lots of details.

I don't even know what TET is.
