October 31, 200817 yr One last question before bed, I think I can predict the answer, but would it be POSSIBLE for my pure (bottom set of stats) to range at Bandos camp? Obviously I wouldnt go before I had gotten something like 90-95 range and 70+str(only for entrance) and a good amount of Hitpoints. I've never been to any of the gods before and just wondered if it was possible, I would prefer doing it on my pure for the simple fact that im focusing more on it these days that my main.
October 31, 200817 yr Yeah, but at even at 99 Range, you'll have a hard time finding a good team, with your low combat level. Pures are hated because they have to leave early; basically just a weaker version of mains. A great way to compete with higher leveled meleers is by using a Dark bow + D arrow spec. No offence, but unless you get defence you will be a worthless teammate. What if the tank messes up and you accidentily get Graardor on you? At armadyl, you will get owned by all the minions. Imo, just go train your main untill it has decent stats before you start thinking about your pure. As opposed to armadyl who has to be ranged. But indeed, if your in a "decent" team with a good tank you won't get hit by the boss at all! (armadyl will hit you a lot).. And I believe all minions are equal strength. So yes bandos is much easier (especially with diamond bolts): however people keep telling you should always range at armadyl cause that's easier. - This is simply not true: however it is true that at bandos range isn't the most efficient way to defeat it. (and at armadyl it is the most efficient way). October 31, 200817 yr If I'm honest, the best god for you would be sara. Range is super effective, and you can quite easily evade the attacks of the minions (although you will take a few hits which will hit upto 14. Near the end of each round you can simply stop attacking Zil and the minions will never focus on you after she dies. Armadyl is impossibly ineficent for pures; Kree'arra uses magic and ranged attacks which hit upto 20 and 69 respectively and the minions hit hard and cripplingly often on 1 defence. I doubt for a team of 5 people you would last even one round without exhausting your food. Also bear in mind that GWD wasn't built for pures at all, and bar 'cheating' at PvP the game isn't really designed for pures..

I'm guessing that you don't make GWD trips very often(disregarding bandos). :shock: Brews and restores are the standard at Arma, and withoujt a familiar and low defense, you won't last long. You could do ok at Sara I guess, but zammy would be great for you if you can find a team. Kril easily has the weakest defense of the four, so he's the only one where ranging is really acceptable in my opinion. Tanking is out of the question, obviously. October 31, 200817 yr Don't consider bandos, it's too hard to find a team and even then it's too easy to get crashed. Don't consider arma at ALL, you'd get owned. Hell even I get ripped apart in there at 82 defence. Zammy might be a viable option as wio said, but the drops are so terrible you'd probably be better off with aviansies. I can't really say anything about sara considering i've never went though.
