Draconic
I've recently hit 62 farming, after farming ranarrs for money, but now I want to know, what's more profitable? Ranarrs or Snapdragons? Thanks. When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.
badphooeybad
Ranarr seed is 23k, Clean ranarr is 6.3k. Snapdragon seed is 27k, Clean snapdragon is 6.4k. I don't know if the herbs per seed is different... But I'd go with Ranarrs.
Patr1ck
Go with snaps much more xp, almost 100 xp per herb.

pitabread189
Higher level plants can give more herbs. And its more xp too. So, snapdragons. Troacctid
Which of the two is more profitable fluctuates on a daily basis, so I prefer to just err with the one that gives more experience. Try snapdragon. Kwuarm is good too--easier to buy the seeds in bulk. Higher level plants can give more herbs. And its more xp too. So, snapdragons. Harvest sizes are the same for all herbs. Your average yield will be the same with torstol as it is with guam. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP

RayOxide
I'd go with ranarrs if you have a bad tendancy to get dead herbs.. Less lost, and xp doesnt matter if you do some trees now or then anyway. I dont need a siggy no moar.
ultimatballr
Snaps all the way, there is no comparison. Apparently, my signature was to big.

The real money makers seem to have low yields, maybe toadflax as an exception.

The real money makers seem to have low yields, maybe toadflax as an exception. Just a fluke. I haven't noticed any difference in my average harvests between toadflax, ranarr, snapdragon, and kwuarm. I'd go with ranarrs if you have a bad tendancy to get dead herbs.. Less lost, and xp doesnt matter if you do some trees now or then anyway. On average, your losses from death will always be canceled out by the occasional large harvest, leaving you with an average of 6-7 herbs per seed. Snaps all the way, there is no comparison. Actually, there is quite a legitimate comparison, as can be seen in my "Guide to Which Herbs to Plant". Inuashakent
Troacc, there is no comparison if you factor in xp. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
Troacctid
Troacc, there is no comparison if you factor in xp. Nah, xp is just another factor in the same comparison. Today, for example, you can expect an average of 2.8k more profit per seed (or thereabouts) from ranarr than from snapdragon, but you can also expect about 450 (or thereabouts) less xp from ranarr. Both of those are fairly significant when you consider 5 patches to a run and 8 runs per hour. Of course, it may be a little moot, since toadflax are a little more profitable than ranarrs today anyway. Inuashakent
So it takes 7 minutes to farm all 5 patches, adding up to 2250 xp vs 14k gp... Thats less then 100m for 99 - Snaps are better. I don't feel like doing all that math, so I'll end it here. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
Shazarabbit
I'd say Ranarrs purely because you can get some herblore experience if you have the level, if you don't they are more likely to sell than snaps. RayOxide
@Troac, how do you complete averages on herbs when you have a wc guide where you cant even compare rune axe -> adze? Kwuarms are generally the better bet than the other 2, like Zaapy said. A loss is a loss, and still you lose more. (idc about statistics, nothing can be averaged) I dont need a siggy no moar. (idc about statistics, nothing can be averaged) Are you really ignorant or do you just act like that? Of course there's an average, there have been loads of people who've tested it. And about the first sentence. That's like saying anyone who fails at geography fails at english too.

You can compare a rune axe to an inferno adze. There's just no good reason for it. (And it doesn't have anything to do with herbs either. :shame: ) Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
