How long does it take to mine 1k iron ores at 70 mining? (rough estimate)

 

Where is the best place to mine iron? I will be banking the iron ores.

Alternatively, you can mine north of Yanille, which is only a few clicks from the bank.

Yeah, do that if you don't have 57 Summoning. Granite is always a better option, though.

If your banking your irons then I woud say to use the varrock west mine. There was a spot there last time i was there where you could stand and mine two rocks without moving. Its fairly close to bank. As for how long to get 1k ores, well that depends on several factors that can't easily accounted for. They would be respawn time and other people mining your ores as well. Remember that the more people on a world the faster respawn time for the ore.

mine in east varrock, wear nothing bar your pick, run from bank and walk back to make energy last longer as it runs down quicker with a full inv of iron so you dont want to waste time walking when your empty. with 70 mining you should 1 hit every time and win over most f2p miners, doing itthis way i would say maybe 45mins to an hour for 1k iron?!

Thats bull. I got 40k exp an hour average on f2p mining and dropping iron non stop in al-kharid 3 rock formation. which is around 1100 ores an hour and I am a very fast dropper

Did you read the post? He's banking the ores, so he can't simply sit and drop the iron non-stop.

I'd also recommend the Varrock east mine. I think it should take you a solid hour and a half. Find the busiest world you can for the fastest respawn times. Then when boredom kicks in, switch to the AL-K scorpian mine for a change of scenery. However, since you have 70 mining here's an alernative suggestion: go mine coal at the mining guild. It's close to the Fally west bank. Mine 500 or so coal, then sell it on the GE and buy the 1000 iron ore you desire.

jagex removed the triple rock formation :(

1 hour powermining, about 2 hours banking, give or take a few depending on your location. I don't bank iron, so I can't tell you which spot is best. For powermining you can use Hobgoblins, my personal favorite, or Al-Kaddy. Note, as long as there are 3 rocks near each other you can mine at max speed. They don't have to be in a triangle.

I do not just run all the way to bank with an inventory full of iron (and my record is true and clean), there is a way that you can get 1k iron with 64 mins. You know how to flash prayer? Now try it with flash running (Explorer Ring also helped).

My point was that 1.1k ores mined and dropped on w1 was my average (6 months ago when i was f2p with that 3 rock formation never wait a sec for repspawn). I remember something around 40-42k exp an hour

 

 

 

even if you have infinite run the bank trips will at least half your mining per hour.

 

 

 

If you didnt bank you would be getting 2k ores an hour or 70k exp lol.

As I mined 10k iron ores and banked them a few months ago I can say you can get 600 ores per hour at Varrock East Mine.

 

If you power mine you can get 1.2k iron ores. I powermined in a full world at Rimmington 2 rocks when I was close to 85 Mining.

It would most likely be faster if you teleported to varrock instead of running back.

 

 

 

Can you please explain flash running? I don't get it.
